Factually, Toronto the 4 largest City in the US and Canada and gets more snow or the same as St. Johns, Frederictown, Regina, Winnipeg and Calgary BUT somehow most Canadians are under the impression that it does not snow at all here.
I made it home. S10 buyer arrived at noon. I took him to the license office to transfer ownerships. He waited at the dealership afterwards (it's pretty comfortable there-we have a cafe, wireless internet etc). Thankfully management decided to shut down at 2 so we got back here to Ingersoll in good time, cleaned the foot of snow off the truck, warmed it up and away he went. Wisely he decided to go back to London and wait out the storm until tomorrow and then head to Niagara on the Lake. Connie shoveled the lane around noon and I did it again. I'm glad thats over with. I hate selling vehicles.

Great ! Sounds like you have aquired some money for a snow blower !
Last night was perfect for Christmas shopping, the roads and the stores were deserted! Wally-Mart, Costco, Home Depot and I was done! Now I can just relax the rest of the holidays.

Hey Hillar, I don't think I have ever seen anything like it in Toronto. The kids wanted to go to Wal-Mart because they heard that even the Wal-Mart was dead and wanted to see that for themselves. Wal-Mart is like a midway for them, they don't buy anthing there but go for the excitment and entertainment value !! About 9 we jumped in the Suburban and headed over. Another thing was that the roads we pretty much snow covered too so like you said deserted!! So was Wal-Mart, I should have taken a camera.
We were probably there at the same time Ray. It was great, once I had my stuff there was no line up at the check-out, how many times can you say that about W-M? After I went to Home Depot and I swear, I think there were like 2 other customers in the store. It was almost like one of those twilight zone episodes where you are the only one left in the world!

Todd, the Wal-Mart Hillar and I are talking about is the biggest store I have ever been in in my life, They had one across the road and it only lasted a couple years before they realized it was too small. This one is in Scarborough and it is usually jammed shoulder to shoulder. My son commented on no line ups either so that is incredible. In fact I didn't see anyone check out when I left. It was just a snowy night and most had enough good sense to stay in unlike Hillar and I albeit we had more than capable vehicles to cope.
Second storm arrived overnight, much gentler type, no to low winds, soft fluffy snow, just shovelled the walkway and it was about 4 inches deep and still snowing, probably going to be very few out at church this morning, annual Carol service.
Just got in from Kitchener 3 hours reg 1.1 roads closed!!! worst travelling in 40 years! by the grace of God we got through ... trucks and jeeps in ditch What a storm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad your safe Carl. I was afraid we'd have to move that Strato Chief and Ventura out of storage and distribute then to the next owner! It isn't as bad "down here" in Ingersoll..
We had a decent drive to Waterloo, and were there by 1;30.. We left at 4:30 and had a good drive( snow covered etc) to Stratford, but from Stratford to Mitchell the road was visable, but blizzerd winds!!! Past Dublin to Seaforth was a crawl with little visability!! We followed a Corolla and when he went sideways in road, we stopped, and approched the car. He was done, could not see any more.. WE let two truck past, and crept into Seaforth.. We stopped there for a few minutes. My 53 year old (new) son in law was afraid to go further, so I headed out anyway?!. I had my wife, daughter, son in law,17year old granddaughter, and 12 year old grand son with me We headed for Clinton and just outside Seaforth(normal bad spot of road) was a 4 door Jeep stuck on the West side of road( which was driffed so bad, there was only one lane), and little further on, was PRESIDENT Choice semi truck in snow/ditch, on West side. There was a OPP cruiser sitting behind him, with lights flashing. We went the next 8 miles to Clinton,(very very slowly) and arrived in Clinton to see barriers up!!!!! The family stayed here, over night and it was blizzerd conditions, all night here is the snow today....please feel free to feel sorry for me...lol C2
