A Christmas Gift from my Local Gas Station

I stopped into my local gas station ("At The Pumps") here in Ingersoll tonight to fill up the Park Ave. To my delight they were sold out of regular so therefore were selling premium (which my car needs) for 69.9!

I was down to the red on the gauge and I filled up for $44. Thanks Santa!

It's been like that in TO since last weekend, Esso? I feel a fabricated shortage coming on....

I'm not sure who supplies it. The gas station is owned by "Your Independent Grocer" which is really Zehrs. So... all reports say gas consumption is down but stations are running out.. You may be right Ray.

Not sure about Zehrs but lots of Esso stations  are showing 0.00 in TO which means no gasoline at all. Esso supplies Canadian Tire as well who was fire selling premium since Sunday near me. The Esso which is four blocks or so from me has had no gas since Staurday night. To be fair, trucking it in in these road conditions must be extremely hard.

Got Regular @ 66.9 today in St. Thomas at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar by Wal-Mart.
That's the cheapest I've seen yet. Better yet it  wasn't even lined up!

don't ya hate it when they create a shortage to increase the prices. When I lived out west, people I knew had the job of opening and closing valves to increas or decrease supply or demand so that the end result would be higher prices. I hope that's not what they're doing. But when the news tells us that the oil people want to shut down wells to increase prices, you have to figure it's going to happen.

Todd, a service advisor should know better than anyone that you don't run a fuel injection in-tank pump that low. Shame on you! Are you looking to replace a fuel pump needlessly???!!! When people are at the parts counter talking about seeing how low they can run it, I tell them to keep trying, we need the sales!

The needle just started touching the red when I got to the gas station. It wouldn't have been that low if it weren't for being stuck in traffic for an hour getting home last night.

I put at least a fuel pump a week out here in our little shop and you know what every one of them is almost empty.

Or right full cause they ran out of gas and it killed the pump. We have towed some in that have been full to the brim after they ran out and it died.
