What powered the "awesome" Yenko Vega Stinger that Don Yenko marketed?

Not sure about the powertrain just yet but it would have been called the "Stinger II" as the corvairs were called Stinger. Yenko sold these Vegas between 71-73 with the STINGER II name. I have yet to find any info about the drivetrain. I'll update as I find info.

LT1 350 S/BLK
Nope, sorry, not according to the info I have.
For the record, there is one in the wrecking yard in Watertown South Dakota if anyone is looking for one. Not exactly the pinnacle of Don Yenko's performance cars he marketed though.

Don specially ordered his Vega GT Hatchback coupes with pistons which could withstand the punishment of a turbocharger. He had intended to but a Schweitzer supercharger on each car, but ultimately would not be able to due to emmissions problems.
In addition to HD pistons, the Yenko Stingers came equipped with a Holley electric fuel pump, anti hop traction bars, and optional Thrush mufflers.
On the decorative side, front and rear spoilers were available, along with neat body graphics.
Simulated rear window louvers and flared fenders completed the custom look.

The Vega Stinger came with a full factory warranty. Turbochargers had a Yenko 90 day/4000- mile warranty.
The Yenko Stinger Vega was introduced on January 26, 1971 at the Speed Equipment Manufactures Association show at Anaheim, California.
Name a unique aluminum component on 87 GNX's. Bumpers and brake drums don't count cause some of the other Turbo Regals had the aluminum bumpers and drums as well.

Seems like the Canadian ZL1 question is a stumper. It's a toughie, but pretty neat. I'll give a clue.
This is something you likely couldn't tell if the car drove by on the street. However, if it was at a car show, hood closed, trunk closed, doors closed, windows up, you would be able to tell the difference if you know what to look for.

Well, I think I've burned everyone's brain for today, so we'll leave it at the ZL1 question and the Chrysler Hurst question and resume when everyone's back.

After a ton of reading about the ZL1, I may have found an answer to this question. I think the only Canadian ZL1 came with a different interior. I cannot find anything real definate about this but it looks as though there were 3 of the 69 built without the black standard interior. One had red standard, one had white standard, and the Candadian car was listed as "white cus". The car is Lemans Blue. Coolest part about finding this info, was that the car was sold new in Edmonton @ Stedelbauer Chev. I would have guessed that it would have been an eastern car.
So, my final answer is "houndstooth interior" is what makes the Canadian ZL1 unique.
Anything else you want to know about ZL1's? There's a good chance I read about in the last 3 hours
Yes, it's a one off design but there is still something about it besides what I know you are saying. I don't know how to give a clue without giving the answer.
