Look on the Passenger side of any new car. My Mustang doesn't have a key hole there.

I don't know of another car that has a trunk but no way to unlock it with key. Strange, huh?

Pretty much what I had written. My exact explanation was the 402 had more relaxed emission laws so it was easier for them to pump out 402's than 396's.

Very easy, but I'm surprised how many people don't know. I have a few tech questions mixed in here too.

What does EGR stand for and what does it so?

And for bonus points, is the correct term a PVC or PCV valve and what does it do!!! I hear this one wrong ALL the time from customers! Pet peeve of mine.

exhaust gas recirculation sends part of your exhaust back into the intake - supposed to reduce your NOX emissions.  Valve is a pain to replace though.

positive crankcase ventilation - allows for the removal of harmful blow by gases from the crankcase - again seeks to burn them by re introducing them into the intake.

PVC - now that is just plain kinky stuff - can we discuss that on family site like this?biggrin

In the first iteration of production they were, 1970 -72. From 1973 to 1980 there were two bolt caps.

What part of the 62 Super Duty package is missing on all 62 Grand Prix Super Duty cars? This means from the factory, not as Ray suggests below that this went missing later on.

The SD order form included a lot of things but it did not include this on SD GP's.

Bonus points---How many SD 62 GP's?

1970 Mach 1 Mustangs, all painted Grabber Orange, also Torino Cobras and Rancheros painted vermillion.  All came with that neat twister decal.  All were ordered out of the Kansas City district sales office for sale in the mid-west only, sorta like the California Specials in guess where?biggrin

So the six pack was a mid year release then for 1969. The first one I saw in person was at my cousin's Wedding in Niagara Falls. One of his ushers had one, all I remember is that hood with the air grabber and the big orange air cleaner. I was 12, we had a 70 Tempest 2dr. post and my cousin had a 65 Parisienne Custom Sport, oh ya, my uncle had a 1967 Coupe Deville!
