I took thousand dollar bills to buy a 72 Chevelle The lady of the house, worked in the bank, and knew they were good She saved me a 1000.00 on the price of the car..
I found a 1970 Transam Lucerne blue in the North end of Winnipeg, almost all matching numbers, ram air 3 400 4 speed and 12 bolt rearend, four years ago and the hard head owner was ready to sell it to me but would not let me inspect the floors. I found out later that some guy from Regina tried to buy it after giving the owner a $1000 deposit and not getting it back when he decided not to purchase it because he lied about the condition of the TA. He broke the door windows and the cops got involve...To this day, I kick myself for not buying it, not too many of these where built and hey are my favorite looking Transams.
