I had a black 81 XII, I think about it often as well. Darn quick little car. For those who don't know, cowl induction hood with solenoid operated scoop, 2.8 HO V6 with a cam that lumped so bad it almost stalled out at idle (they changed that in 82), big Good year eagles. I had headers with a 3" exhaust system on mine, no catalytic and trashed the AIR system so it was putting out a least 180 HP. I won a lot of races with that taking on V8 Mustangs, Monza's and Camaro's. Traded it in on a new 86 Monte Carlo SS in November 85.
1978 Buick Regal LTD 1 owner car loaded 42000 km . Paid $1800 for it was only 25 at the time in less than 2 years it was beat and ready for the wrecker . What a waste factory mags and lots of power for the year . This not mine it was green just pic of the net

I seen one of these last summer on Stevensville Road for sale-I pull up-58,000 kms ! body looks great, the floors are rotted, looked like orig paint (decals were all there) stick shiift-reduced from $1200 to $800-thought it was worth while for someone-I later seen a wanted ad on kijiji for one I forwarded the info-never seen the car again
My first car when I was 16 years old. 1971 Buick Skylark, gold with black vinyl top, rally rims. Did a front clip off restoration, disc brakes, etc, and built a door slammer 350 all ported, polished, pistons, crane cam 520/494 split lift, etc.. Car was quick. I have pictures of it somewhere in the photo albums. Started a family so I sold it to my younger brother, who was coming up to a light when it turned yellow. Instead of stopping, he put the pedal to the floor and she went sideways on dry pavement and crossed into the oncoming turning lane and took off the front end of the car. He bought it back just for the motor to sell and scrapped the rest of the car.
My first car was a gold 70 Skylark custom. Paid $750 "certified" in 1986:
Thanks to a drunk neighbor hitting my right front fender, I was able to by a rolling GS which allowed me to clone my Skylark:
I was a teenager so it had to be bright!
I tried tracking the car down earlier this year. I sold it to a guy in Stratford, Ontario in 1988 and he kept it a year and sold it to someone else in 1989. It's still in that persons name (maybe in a barn?) but I had no luck tracking them down. Also, the colour is now listed as maroon.
I also miss my old '86 Omega 2 door V-6 ... fun car.

Thanks for posting a pic of one! Mine was repainted a horrible brown when i got it. It also had a sunroof installed. Still fun car to drive. I wish i could have hung on to the hood, hatch with the molded spoiler and those wheels, those will be hard to find! Don't know about yours but mine had "Citation" stamped into them. They had a high quality suspension, apparently near the best from 80 to 82.

I had a sun roof in mine too, completely manual though. You are right on the wheels with the stamping but in 82 they stopped that. The wheels were actually used on the Celebrity Eurosport too starting in 82. Another noteworthy item was the plastic hood and steering wheels was the same as the one in my 86 SS. The X11 got great reviews from all the car mags at the time but only ever saw a handful. I once got into a race with a Monza V8 on the open road. I was overtaking him on a corner flat out and the thing just cornered like it was on a rail. When I looked in my mirror the V8 Monza driver had given up and was disappearing fast....it was my brother-in-law driving my Monza I had given him!
