Well I realy liked my 63 Parisienne convertible and 68 Firebird convertable 400 4 spd I have to go with the car I had the most fun with, that would be my 68 chevelle Malibu, originaly a 307 car but yanked that out and put a 65 365 hrs 327 corvette motor I bought from a guy at the Tmers car club in Winnipeg back around 1974. It was just a fun and exciting time in my life.
I would like my 1969 Caprice 427-390 hp 4 speed as a first choice. Second would be my 1955 Bel Air 2 door hardtop. California car red and white with a new CARS interior. 235 powerglide. I had to sell the 55 and some other cars to raise some cash to keep my house in 1980. Split with the first wife and needed cash for her half of the house. It was OK because the house was only 3 years old and had a 20x30 attached heated garage with hot and cold water and a floor drain. Kept that house till 1984 when I bought the place I'm at now.
Out of the 56 vehicles I had....wish I still had my 1976 Poncho Trans AM. Was 400 cu, auto. Rare orange with tan interior. A GM dealer principal now owns it and wont sell it back. A friend owns an identical one and whenever I see either one it reminds me of cruising when I was 17 and cruising the drag. Wasnt fast but it was cool. When all my buddies were in the Mustang Fox Body craze I had this cruising with my one speaker and 8 Track. Sold the car for $3500 when I was 20 for my first mortgage, Regretted it ever since. Wife said you cant live in a car but I said you cant race a house!!! Yeah its a mullit, LOL I was 17 in that pic...cough cough...many years ago, lousy pic....the bird on the hood was airbrushed to factory spec...wasnt gawdy
1 - 1929 Model A Ford, first car I ever owned. Dropped front axle, 1950 Lincoln rims (widest you could get back then) that I reversed myself with 8.20-15 rear tires (biggest you could get back then) and 5.60s on the front, aluminum skull shifter knob a buddy made in shop class, only car I never took a picture of but it is stll fresh in my mind.
2 - 1955 Mercury 2-door sedan, V-8 with stick shift on the floor, nosed and decked with custom metallic green paint, duals with glasspacks, raked with whitewalls and baby moon discs, what fun.
3 - 1966 Chevelle SS396 convertible, 4-speed, full instrumentation with that knee-knocker tach, bucket seats but no console, 8" Corvette rally wheels, first car I ever bought new, owned it for 20 years, fell victim to Wisconsin extreme rust, sold it for $1000 to a guy who had a cherry hardtop and he was going to graft my top on his car, hope he got it done.
Lots of Corvettes and other cars over the years but one of those would be my choice.
