A year ago I tracked down my 66 Grande Parisienne 427 speed I sold 20 years ago with help off this site. I sold it to Edmonton. It's in Ottawa. Not for sale.

I have no idea where my 427 TH400 66 Grande Parisienne went and it was only 30 miles from here! Good car too. Lame body, but power windows, air, tilt, tach, am/fm, reverb, power antenna, power trunk, power seat, reclining passenger seat, 12 bolt posi. If I could find it, even if the body is completely shot now it would sure be a great parts car.

Still wondering where my red 66 Nova SS 327 4 speed with fawn interior went. Last I saw a classic car place in southern Ontario had it in the old car trader. Looked familiar so I called and rattled off the VIN to the rather shocked salesman! I sold it in 88.

Also missing, a black (originally turqouise) 65 Canso Sport Deluxe that was my first car. Heard it was in Winnipeg 10 or so years ago in tough shape.

Carl, I saw a 427 4 spd GP advertised two separate times in the Old Car Trader back in the late 80s, a year or more apart . Of course the memory is sketchy but I do recall the ads because I was aware of how unusual the 427 4 spd combo was in a Parisienne. I still have the books. Next time I have them out I'll see if I can find the ads.

I sold my time capsule 64 and 67 beaumonts (4dr sedans) to a guy named Calvin Curtis from the bellville area.  Wonder if he really still owns them or if he flipped them.  He is a car transporter by trade.

Any of you ontario guy ever run accoss him?
one last year, one 2 years ago.
Ever see them driving around southern ontario?

the 64 was at the barrie flea market for sale in 07 - I think $7000 I have the phone nuimber here somewhere-it was Belleville or Peterbough can't remember for sure

When was the barrie market?
I had only just sold it in June 07.  When he bought the 67 in June 08, he said he still owned the 64 and enjoyed driving it.
I think he would have a tough time selling them for more than he paid.
Especially in todays market.

I believe it was september 07 the 64 was there but could have been june-I looked it over and liked it I wrote the number down no one was around-not sure if it sold-4-doors are always a tough sell no matter the market-but it was a good car, the year before someone here in Welland had a good 66 sedan for sale all summer at $7000 one owner orig paint 40,000 miles too

Barrie flea market was in the first week of June 08. That's when I saw the 67. He said he had just brought it from out west, and that clicked for me because I had seen it here & on kijiji. I didn't notice a 64 there, but Calvin did say he often has more luck selling 4 doors because people remember them from the old days, plus they are a more affordable way to get into an old car.

I agree why buy a project convertible or a rough patched up hardtop when you can have a cherry sedan for the same money-never could fiqure that out-most people will disagree

Some of the 4 door sedans & HTs look cool. I bought my 62 Parisienne mostly because it was rust free with a mint original interior, and well optioned for the year.

The first ad will be mine. Seems to me I was asking about $6300. I sold it for $5300.

Apparently he advertised it less than a year later and got $7500 for it.

I may have also seen it advertised in Ontario, in the Ottawa or eastern Ont area maybe, but I'd need to check. Will do some time & let you know.

If he is from MARITIMES, he is probably a relative lol I dont know him....and of course, if he is a Hicks, he will naturally be a good guy..Robert Hicks arrived in Plymouth Rock, in 1621 on the ship Fortune, the first ship after the Mayflower.... Hicks name traces back tp 1356 in England...and a lot of us, like cars.. lolSPONSORED BY HICKS CHEVROLET.jpg
