Hopefully next time we will find more time to look through the stuff everyone brought. Seems like there was way too many stories to tell!!! (Which was a ton of fun!)

One more story to adjourn the meeting... after Carls, we went to his 'neighbours' to pick up some parts, this gentleman is/was 'the man' for beaumonts and chevelles in the early 70s -snapping up everything for sale and buying out parts/trim from the dealerships...

I asked him if knew my car, as it was always a winnipeg car... a silver sports option that was painted white in the early-mid 70s (I knew the car sat in storage from '77-'87 and i've owned it since)... he was the one who painted it white bought/sold in 1972! and also gave me the contact info of the next owner! ...cool...

Hey Andrew, another interesting thing about this guy you talked to about your car is that he was also the guy who painted my car in 1981. He's owned more Beaumonts and Chevelles than anyone I have ever met. The back of his current car is posted in the thread where we were discussing the rear trim. (Another 67 SD for sale)

Yeah i know the car, he has owned a lot! Small world isnt it! I recognized the pic of his car, esp. since he has the black rear taillights, another discussion for another day!

My thoughts too. And 50torpedo, you are in the perfect spot between Edmonton and Calgary. Is your garage as big as mine? Our bunch was easy to please, coffee pot in there and some car stuff to look at was all it took. We wasted away about 4 hours in no time!

Wasted you mean time well spent don't you Carl. That wasted time sounds like something the wife would say. Any time talking about cars or watching them on TV is like going to school and learning.

If any Alberta guys are interested, I would be happy to host a get together in Calgary. I have a coffee maker, space and lots of junk to look at.

Well, what can I say. The fun started at breakfast at 8:00 a.m. (8:45 for the sleepyheads...) and finished at 1:30!!!

We've solved all the mysteries that ever existed about Canadian Ponchos, Beaumonts and Acadians!!!

Looks like a great group, I'd even associate with you guys!  Now to find a business excuse to go to Winnipeg...evileye

PLEASE do that Hillar. It would be great to share a coffee with a fellow CP'er from out of province.

That invitation goes to anyone on here. Don't be a stranger if you are anywhere near our place.

And mud should not have been a problem last Saturday!!!
