cool stuff! this '67 SS427 ad is (i think) one of the best ever printed. i have a hard copy of it.
I agree. Beautiful car. Used hoods are now going for over $3,500.00
Notice the 427 fender emblems? I have a pair, just waiting for the car. No other Chevy ever got those fender emblems.....just the 1967 SS427.
If you ordered a 427 in any other '67 Chevy (even a non-SS Impala hardtop or convertible), you got the regular 427 flags that we all remember.
Unlike '66 and '68 when you could order 425hp, the strongest 427 in '67 was 385hp, right? Wrong. Not if you special-ordered a COPO......and one of these already very rare SS427 Chevys came just that way. I even know the name and current address of the first owner.
Hi 67Heaven. What a great bunch of pics. That has to be the nicest vet I've ever seen. You can sure be proud of that one. Leo
Well said.. love that car.. When I WIN the Super 7 Friday night, I am going to Pro Team in Ohio, and buy the closest I can get to it.....
Heres a little dream of mine... I find a big block, mint, trailer queen(insert make)with plastic wrapped around tires, and pay cash for it, and carefully start it, at at the owners home, back out on to the street, honk the horn, wave, then do a burnout, until He cant see the car anymore... I actually did that once, in '74 at Brantford, in my 66 427-425 Coupe......

Hahahaha. We must have been separated at birth, Carl.
1967 was a watershed year for sure. THe summer of love, hippie protests, Vietnam, Centennial celebrations. I was 12 yr old and got a Centennial coin set for having highest GPA in grade6. I still have most of it. I was going into junior high in the fall and felt grown up. I had my own radio which was constantly on. The music of that year is some of the best of the century. The cars of North America were at their peak.
I was born the end of 66, so 67 was a blurr, dad bought a used 67 Chevelle wagon in 67, the car apparently had to go back to the dealers for service,we kept the car until I was 16, the frame had rotted out, rest of the car was good, went to scrap, then we got the red Beaumont for a service loaner dad got a 67 Nova 327 P.G. white over bright blue int, had buckets and console, apparently he didnt want to give it back, mom said he had to, dumb mom.
All 100 of the hot number one hits from Billboard on my iPod
And last but not least my 1967 Beaumont
I fired her up this week. Not sure if I did it because someone said you should do it every couple of months or if I needed to sit in the seat dreaming of spring.
