Super Stars need super cars  (limo)   Did you see/hear of the teen on the Dr Phil show?  She posted 3000 text messages "while driving her car" on interstate at 70 mph!!  They showed a tape of her driving, and she took her eyes off for for over a minute at times... She steered with her KNEE....Kids!!       I used to Drive my Dad's car, at speeds over 70 mph holding onto the steering wheel, with only ONE hand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!jawdrop.gif

I got my first cell phone (The bag phone I had in 1988 doesnt count) last June. I use pay as you go cards and it's primarily used for emergencies. I never text or anything. Texting is likely safer (if you aren't driving at the same time) as you aren't bombarding your brain cells with radio waves in the Gigahertz range.. Those waves ain't healthy no matter what the cell companies say in my opinion. Then again the laptop on my legs right now transmitting to my wi-fi likely isn't safe either...I better not have any more kids. biggrin

We use a prepaid cell as well. I have no idea how to send a text. We have no voice mail on it. We don't even use the 30 minutes we buy each month except when we are at the lake where there is no other phone.

Well said  biggrin  I dont use the cell at all, except I carry it, for emergency in vehicles.... I think its funny, to see everyone, coming out of stores, and checking to see, who called them, since they left the house, "20" minures ago !!!   Bad radio waves? no wonder boys dress like girls, and have low sperm count, and  can't hear.....      Amazingwink

I always hit the deadline before I run out of minutes. I'm up to over 2 hours talk time now. Nothing is more ignorant than when I get customers who talk on their phone while I am trying to write a work order. We have a cell phone ban at work for employees but most of them are able to sneak in text messages. Some seem to spend all day texting. Why not just call them on the land line or better yet, walk over to the other side of the dealership and talk in person?

I don't see anyone using cells at our dealership either and we don't even have a rule.

I spent some time today yakking on the phone to a Laurentian owner when it was busy and I should have been working though. But it's ok, I was on my cordless headset and I can multitask when I use it..... rofl.gif

im not that important to need a cell and i figure if somebody really needs to get ahold of me they will do it somehow, we did it for years without cell phones.

we did a 2 family trip around the cabot trail last year and my co-pilot was a 15 year old boy. i think the only time he looked up from texting was when he had no reception.
