The Q&As are hilarious!

Q: Hi, I Know Collector cars. This Car will be worth alot of money someday, All These People would of had to do is watch BarretJackson car Auction to know the Value of such a Collector car like this is going to be, But It will take The right People. But Some day this Car will be Very Valueble,I Can"t wait to see What the price of this car sells for, And Also want To say to you Good Luck And hang in there It"s going up, Jan-19-09
A: Thanks for your kind words!
Q: we are planning a big unveiling for this car at the inauguration, I will pay a million via wire transfer, can you get this car to DC in the morning. very important!!!! Jan-19-09
A: The banks are closed for the holiday!I could not physically get the car there by tomorrow, I hope you are still interesred in it!
Q: If I give you a million for it right now, can you get it to the inauguration tomorrow? Jan-19-09
A: How can you physically pay me $1,000,000 today?
Q: im just wondering, does the buyer pay you the full payment at once, or like pay it out? thanks Jan-19-09
A: I'm hoping to do a closing with lawyers, and have an escrow account set up to protect both the buyer and seller!
Q: THE CAR IS WORTH EVERY PENNY THAT SOMEONE IS WILLING TO BUY IT FOR.... SOME PEOPLE DONT KNOW THE LONG TERM VALUE OF AN ITEM THAT WILL HAVE AN HISTORIC VALUE 5-50 YEARS DOWN THE ROAD... Jan-19-09
A: Thanks, I agree 100%!
Q: please answer what makes this 300 series so special. What has obama done, achieved? we are judge in life by the things we achieve in doing so it to make/creates value. Sports memorabilia creates value because they achieve greatness that no man/woman has done. so my question is what has obama done to justify this increase in price.......... nothing... but wishful thinking. Jan-19-09
A: Why are over 2,500,000 people expected at the inauguration for a man who's done nothing?
Q: Thank you!I ABSOLUTELY LOVED your answer to the last person who asked "so what makes this car so sp3ecial other than obama driving it? Whats the buyer suppose to do...cruise main st" Jan-19-09
A: Thanks! I believe everything I said was the truth!
Q: so what makes this car so sp3ecial other than obama driving it? Whats the buyer supposed to do put a obama billboard on the side and cruise main st. Jan-18-09
A: Same reason that a $5.00 baseball is sold for millions or the Popes junk Ford Escort sold for $690,000 or a $100 baseball jersey sold for $175,000, but this car was driven by the first black president of the United States of America for over 3 years and 19,000 miles!Your great grand children will resd about him in their history books!
Q: Will you take 500,000 buy it now? Jan-18-09
A: Unfortunitly, once the reserve of $100,000 was met there is no more buy iy now!
Q: This car is NOT Obama's, is it? Jan-18-09
A: This was the actual car he drove from July 2004 until 2007!
Q: Is this car garaged at night? Thank you. Jan-18-09
A: This car has been in indoor storage since he beat Hillary!
Q: Do my eyes deceive me or has there been over 146,000 views of this auction since yesterday? Is it possible to know how many people are watching? Jan-17-09
A: Yes its true,we are near 8000 watchers and over 100 pre-approved bidders in one day.the last auction was bidded up to $99,000,000 so Ebay cancelled the auction and made me start over
Q: just wanted to congratulate you. I test drove this car back in feb of last year at park plaza. It was a litte too pricey for me. I am definately kickin' myself now though. Congrats again. Jan-17-09
A: Thanks for not purchasing it!
Q: Are you going to post pictures of the inside? Jan-17-09
A: No, only because the car is in storage, and I do not have enough time before auction ends.I'm answering over 1000 e-mails per day!
Q: IS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AVAILABLE? Jan-17-09
A: I am including the transfer of my Chrysler factory bumper to bumper maxi care extended warranty good

It's been listed before, but the hackers screwed it up as usual. I hope he gets a legit buyer this time. I think people are crazy for bidding, but it's a free country and if you got the bucks go for it....

There are those that see the significance of today as well as having a piece of history to go with it, an automobile that was owned by the first African American President of the United States of America.

Abe Lincoln's bible was used to swear in Barack Obama, so in that regard I suppose it is priceless. Just a bible to some, a symbol of freedom for others.

Not get too off topic, but I have never seen so much hype in my life for a guy who has basically done nothing.  The way the commentators were fawning over him, you would think he was Abe Lincoln, FDR, and Jack Kennedy all rolled into one!  OK, Wonderboy, time to get to work, let's see what has happened after 100 days, 200 days, etc.  If he accomplishes everything everyone thinks he will, I will be the first to congratulate him, but I comment on results, not speculation and hype.  Say what you want about Dubya, but since 9/11, not a single American has been killed on domestic soil by any terrorist activity, something they can't say in London, Madrid, Mumbai...

Hillar, you well know my political stripes and in fact for some time the significance of this was lost on me. Today I put political partisanship aside. There is no doubt he is unproven but he represents promise to so many who have gone so long with no hope. In terms of action he is committed to ramping up the war on terror in Afghanistan as you mention and so aptly point out must be working. Expectations are high, no doubt, but it is the anticipation of change that excites people.

There certainly is something about Obama that sets him apart from any president that I've seen since I've been alive. I think it's the aura of confidence he presents. I think First Lady Michelle has a lot of class as well. Time will tell how well he performs as President. Did JFK or Roosevelt do anything to prove themselves before they became President?

FDR was Governor of NY, at that time, by far the most important and wealthiest state, so he was sort of a "mini-President".  Jack Kennedy was a war hero - ever hear of PT 109?

Ah yes, PT109. I forgot about that. Being a young pup I wasn't sure about Roosevelt. I am currently reading "A Man Called Intrepid" (I'm a big fan of what went on "behind the scenes in WW2) and have learned the results of the war would have certainly been different if Roosevelt had not been President (as well as Churchill replacing Chamberlain) as many Americans were against getting involved in the war.

Sorry to hijack the thread.

I agree he is untested. And I don't fully understand the phenomenon of blind devotion that seems to characterize US politics generally, and the Obama movement in pariticular.
Only time and experience will tell if the people of the US made a good choice. He's a tremendous speaker who clearly has the power to inspire people, as did predecessors like JFK, Martin Luther King and others. Ultimately however, he will be judged on the actions he takes and the results he does/does not achieve (the outgoing President comes to mind). And for that, it's just too soon.

I've never believed a car is worth more than an identical one because of former ownership. I have been proved wrong time and time again. I have seen Hitler's Mercedes, Kennedy's Lincoln and a few other "one off" cars built for the famous so I guess they are different. I love the Chrysler 300C Hemi car platform. I have a 06 Charger Daytona that is the same platform, maybe I should get Luke Duke to sign it?

Regrettably the statement concerning the bible is factually and historically incorrect.

Obama was the first President sworn in using the Lincoln Bible since its initial use in 1861. The Bible is part of the collections of the Library of Congress.

Though there is no constitutional requirements for the use of a Bible during the swearing-in, Presidents have traditionally used Bibles for the ceremony, choosing a volume with personal or historical significance.

The Lincoln Bible was originally purchased by William Thomas Carroll, Clerk of the Supreme Court. Lincoln used it because his family Bible was unavailable for the ceremony, as it was packed with other belongings that were still en route to their new home at the White House.  The 1,280-page Bible was published in 1853 by the Oxford University Press.

Obama has openly expressed his admiration for Lincoln, from whom he said inspirations could be drawn at a time when the nation was faced with multiple crises.

As far as the assertion that "hes black, hes still a person, no difference."

Exactly!
