I know you're trying to sell it whole. But if you do decide to part it I'll be interested in the entire disc brake setup.

Interesting that the cowl tag does not read "Made in Canada".
Yet it is a Chevrolet not Pontiac framed car.

The seats, console and disc brake setup out of that car would bring $1000 easy.

How is the frame? A good ragtop frame would be worth good bucks up here.

Mark-doesn't the bottom line on the cowl tag say something about Canada ?

Sorry I tried reading again I guess not

Ken, I think the bottom line says "time of manufacture"
Did any 70' big B have the made in Canada on the tag?

I'd love to drag that thing home, but the wife would freak. I only just cleared out the drive of my 69' Coupe parts car this past summer.

Some real potential value in that thing.

Yes, you have better eyes than I-when they said Made in Canada it was usually larger type print.

My driveway is finally clear of that 77/78 TA stuff too but this is sure tempting "the last affordable 70's convertible !"

Can anybody figure that body tag info? I've never seen anything like that in all my years of messing with GM cars. Is it common and I just wasn't paying attention?...

Ceyepopping.gifeyepopping.gifL!!!

Doesn't the OS of the body # designate the Oshawa build plant?.
I'd be leaning towards the possibility of the &&&#'s being some type of Fleet Code...maybe even be a Special Event build #?.
Best would certainly be if a build sheet can be found but if not, it'd be nice if the GM docs can shed some light on this?.
Often Fleet Codes etc were never recorded on the Microsfishe cards that Geo. Z. and the boys glean their info from but if the GM docs are all you can come up w/, look carefully at the Dealer Code this car was shipped to originally as it may show the # 80055 which was GM Oshawa Sales Promotion Account...sometimes mistakenly called the Show car account by GM Vintage Services.

Good luck!.
