good score on the ralley guage cluster, looks to be in excellent shape.  I have a number of them, and got lucky one day a few years ago and picked up a ralley guage cluster with the speed warning speedo.  It's mileage will even work with my gold hardtop.  As you know, 69 clusters (and clocks / delete plates) have a blue hue to them, whereas 70 clusters (and clocks / delete plates) are definately black.  I have a number of clock deletes, and even have a radio delete.

Re the glove box, I figured Cdn & US 69's were the same, and Cdn & US 70's were the same, but 69 was different than 70.  No idea why they would have changed it from 69 to 70, I guess the designers needed to keep the parts makers busy.  I was able to make a 69 dash work in my 70, it just took a little cutting with the dremel tool to mount the thing that the latch hooks on to and holds the light.

A rally cluster with Speedminder? 69? 70?
Now that's rare.
Do you have a picture? If so, start a new thread with it.

it's for a 70.  I'm doing basement demolition, followed by renovations.  When I get a minute I'll see if I can post a photo. I got it about 4 years ago from a guy on ebay who was parting out a low mileage well equipped Catalina - He said a tree fell on the car.  I got the ralley cluster, the buzzer and something else - but be darned if I can remember what else I got from him.

Good on you to have picked up that stuff. I got a 70 Bonneville rally cluster a few months back from Pontorqer. I have to decide if I want to put it in my 69, and if so, figure out the sensors & wiring, which I also got with the cluster. Hope Todd's experience will be helpful.

There's THIS THREAD that I wrote describing the fun I had removing the old cluster. If you can get the steering wheel off, it will go a lot easier for you. Mine wouldn't budge with my cheap Princess Auto puller. I think the best way to do it would be to go all out and remove the whole dash assembly, disconnect the main harness and do it on a bench.

THIS THREAD very well written by CDNPNT shows the changes you have to make to the harness for the new cluster to work. I left the amp gauge inoperative. You'll have to make a little tool to remove the wires from the plug to re-arrange them. I modified a small slot screwdriver and it worked perfect.

Thanks for the refresh. I'll print both and put them in the reference binder so I won't have to be searching when the time comes.
