Howdy,  Is your brochure dated 9/64? We have one that is and I'm  assuming yours is the same although I can't quite read the date.  Maybe they revised it if and when the 396's came out.  Does anybody have a later printing?

VERY interesting.  I'll have to double check our brochure for the date.  It does kind of make you wonder why they would revise it in 12/64 and leave the 409's in if they were planning to make a change.

Thanks for publishing the brochure.  The Parisienne that I am upset about (Being Stripped) is a 65 4dr sport sedan. 327 motor.  Need Superman to come to the rescue!!!

Howdy guys, I took a look at the brochure we have which is dated 9/64 and compared to the one that is dated 12/64 to see if there were any changes that caused the re-edit.  I found only four:

In the earlier brochure they kept calling the four speed Synchromesh while in the later one they call it fully synchronized.  (They kept calling the three speed Synchromesh.)

They make a reference in the later one on page 15 to power seats and windows where in the earlier one they only talk about the windows (although there is a picture of the same power seat control.)

They make a slight changes in wording talking about the two upper control arms on the rear suspension for all V8's and station wagons in the earlier one and for all optional V8's and station wagons in the later one.

They make changes to the steering box ratios in the later one.  The earlier one gives a ratio of 28.0:1 standard and and 20.4:1 power.

You'd think they would have also re-edited for the intro of the 396 (if there was one) as it would have been a major change compared to this stuff.

Anybody have a later 1965 Brochure than 12/64?

Ken

My 9/64 version measures 13 3/4" x 10 1/2".
My 12/64 version is smaller measuring 10 1/2" x 8 1/2".
Does this jive with what you have? Might there be other versions out there?

Howdy, I have the same two sizes of brochure for 66 so I'm assuming they would have made different print sizes for different displays.  I sure would still like to know if there is a later re-edit for 65 that might talk about the 396. I still haven't put the question as to when GM brought it out in Canada  to bed for my satisfaction

Welcome aboard, by the way!  This forum is incredibly  informative and addictive and has some "pretty good guys" on it as Fred Eaglesmith would say.
