I bought a new 74 Lemans Gt in the spring of 75. It was black with white stripe, 350 motor, 3 speed manual on the floor, bench seat, guages, mags, white and black interior. Got the GM rebates and bought it no trade for $4000 tax in. Kept it for 1 year, stored for the winter, had to sell it as I got laid off from work. Left for Barrie Ont with about 6000 miles. Wonder if it is still around?

Ray,
Was the GT still available in '77 or was it just the Sport Coupe? Any idea how many Sport Coupes were made in 77?

Fred,
Any idea who runs the Pontiacpulse website?

I believe it was , mostly a two tone appearance package. The one pictured is in Saskatchewan,

So, the GT was the two tone package? Dad's Sport Coupe was just one colour.

By 77 it was an appearance package mostly, the top engine in Canada was a 170 NET HP 350 4bbl while most were likely 305's.

The package was available on sport coupe only and included the two tone paint and body ID and stripes, RTS suspension with GR70x15 wsw or rwl and Rally II wheels, Grand Prix/Am dash with rally gauges, blacked out grille, dual sport mirrors.

In effect you could have had a car that almost equaled a Can Am with just 10 HP less.
