A+ and to the head of the class for you..........! I was wondering about the THM350 as well, but I have a '70 2+2 h/t here, was a 350, but it had the THM400! And, yes, yes, and yes...How did you know it was a 2+2??
is there any parts the that would be usefull to steve ?i know he wants inner fenders? we know of a mint 69 caprice we have been stripping parts from, anyhing the same? lower rear quarter inner fender etc
I talked to the guy with the 70 rag a few months ago, it was on castanet (or something like that) and is in the BC interior. He dropped his price a bit, but it's still a big project.

seventy2plus2, yea, I am sure that's the one. But we have to admit, what 40 year daily driver car isn't a big project? Have you seen pics of my '67 Rag? That was a big project!! I was looking at this '70 a long time ago as well, but I was debating. Since I have other '70 parts cars here plus parts that are pretty near rust free that I removed from cars while I was in Labrador, it shouldn't be too too much of a problem. And since they are ever rarer than the '67 2+2 Rag, I guess that is why I wanted it even more. The '70 rag near here is rough and he wants $6000 for it. And it isn't a 2+2!! I guess when I get it here I will decide weather or not I should have left it! And on the topic of '70 2+2's, what condition was that h/t in Alberta? You looked at it a while back? This '70 can't be any worse than my '67! If it is ,God help me!!!
I probably won't end up getting it get till spring. It is in B.C. Posted for now, updates a little later....

So did you buy it, sight unseen? Where in BC is it? Did you need someone to look at it?
I saw this one in Northern Alberta a couple of years ago, but it may not exist anymore. I heard the yard was crushed out.
Stripper, I did buy, waiting for his address, unseen but was talking to him and he got some more pics for me to show the car more. There are still a few around here that I do not have in my possession but I do have a fair amount of parts for them, but I always looking for more!!! It is in the Kelowna area.
Hey poncho,I know the car,and its where abouts.I think you got yourself a good deal if you bought it.Did you ?

Canso, I think it will be ok. As you see by my pics above, it can't be as bad off as my '67!!! He was suppose to give me his paypal address yesterday so I could pay him but he didn't send it yet. Here are a couple more pics.....He said it was an Alberta car as well, so it may have survived a little better...
The yellow hardtop in the wrecker yard looks like the one in Peace River. I saw it in Aug 2003. If I recall, I got the turbo 400 kickdown switch from it. I wanted the 2+2 emblems (to add to my collection) but couldn't get the trunk lid open, and busted my magnetic tip screwdriver in the trunk lock. I didn't have time to tinker with it, and had to hit the highway.
I looked at the gold one being parted out on kijiji a while ago, Jan/Feb 2000 if I recall. The owner at that time was VERY suspicious, and I only looked at it for about 5 minutes. I recall each panel being banged in, but it doesn't appear that way in the photo's so I may be thinking of a different car. Like mine, it'salso a "Calgary Motor Products" car, and is a carbon copy of mine. I don't remember it being turbo 400, nor an 8 track car (I'm sure I would have spotted the 8 track), but it was winter when I was there so I didn't crawl underneath. The air cleaner was off though so I should have spotted the turbo 400 kickdown switch. I remember the air cleaner being off as it was in the rear footwell with the spark plugs in it. I talked to the present owner last night (I know him fairly well) and he said someone is buying the engine, tranny & diff, and the interior is also spoken for. I told him to let me know what's left before he hauls it to the dump after it's stripped.
Canadian 2+2 In 1967, GM of Canada debuted the Parisienne 2+2, a sport grand-tourer based on the Parisienne series that replaced the Parisienne Custom Sport from a year earlier. All Pontiac's manufactured and sold in Canada were unique from their US counterparts as GM of Canada fitted re-proportioned US Pontiac bodies to the Chevrolet Impala chassis and drive trains. Canadian purchasers of the 2+2 could therefore order any Chevrolet V8 engine option like the 283 and 327 in³ small-block engines, or the 396 and 427 in³ "Mark IV" big-block. The trim options were slightly different as well, with Chevrolet's 14-inch Rally rims being used instead of the US Pontiac Motor Division's Kelsey-Hayes "8-lug" integral wheel/brake-drum sets. Surprisingly, a 250 cu. in. 155 hp (116 kW) straight-6 was standard in 1967 which suggested that the Canadian 2+2 was simply the Parisienne with louvers, exterior and interior badges, as well as bucket seats and center console (which were options on the Parisienne) as standard equipment.
They didn't quite get the engines right. For example, in 1970 they don't mention the 350 2bbl or the 400 2bbl, 400 4 bbl is incorrect. Is that from sort of a British publication?

That is so cool! An old Pontiac convertible with a rat in it! Usually you find them in the engine compartment not under the seat though! Oh well, bragging rights!

Ray said the manual, he got the other day, cleared something on 400 in B-bodies.. Ray ???
2+2 is home. elvis and 68sd went for the 400 km round trip today with me, not much happened except my magnetic mount signal lights for my dolly are made for a large import not a land yacht and wouldn't reach the trunk. ended up with them on the top bow by the windshield. was doing okay till i hit one grand canyon sized pot hole (i think it had its own postal code) and then we were dragging them down the 401 in toronto. ever try to get to the side in the express towing another car then get back into flow. needless to say that was the only mishap. picts tomorrow, computer is to busy copying music over to another drive. oh i pick up the 409 tomorrow.
