semi sold-the guy left me $500 cash and took it for an e-test tonight-he got the same storey as me that theres a leak in the exhaust-he's going to patch it up tonight and bring it back in the morning for a recheck-please call first before you make the trip-he says he'd pay me the other $300 tommorrow-I wrote as is where is, no warranty, non refundable-but nothing is sold until cash is in hand-I still have the ownership
I don't need another car but I'm giving this a bump for Ken.
These Buicks are one of the nicest riding cars, lots of room and very good power from the legendary 3.8 V6. A 3.8 will pass any emmison test from now until the cows come home and easily make 400,000 km.
If someone is lucky enough to buy this car I have a set of exact match wheels from an old 92 Park Avenue that recent went to car heaven.
theres receipts in the glove box for $640 ( 4 tires) Michelin Hydroedge and $450 for ball joints, the body looks pretty clean, no serious wear or damage inside-not one call/inquiry-I think I may run it for a safety and ask double if it doesn't sell before the weekend is out-this thing is good value
The naturally aspired 3.8 is a very good motor with a flat torque curve and more than enough umph to move this car around smartly. The blowers on these are subject to bearing failures and underhood fires. I had friends, one with a Bonneville and one with an Ultra that did that.
I personally think that beside the small block Chevy V8 the Buick 3.8 is the best V6 engine GM ever made.
No-or at least I don't believe so-I'll check when I'm blowing snow but I'm 99 % no
Ya, no supercharger-less potential for trouble
your welcome to have someone inspect it-but like I said if it doesn't sell through these weekend I'll likely e-test and inspect for certification myself and if it'll fly easy enough-I'll do it then ask double. All I know is it drives good, tires are very new , alternator is new and theres a reciept in the glove box for new lower ball joints, lets face it-even if you spent another $500 on it that would be cheap wheels, this one has not been driven regularly since late november.
also see the posting for the 90 corsica with just 67000 kms !, thr rocker panels require a piece along the bottom but other than that it looks fine-again $500 on top of the $650 there would be nothing for decent wheels either.
anyone know the car? what would it take to safety it. I've got 2 teenagers that borrow my vans too much!
That is perfect for them, I got my kids the 94 Regal 3.8 (266,000 km) and the 93 Fleetwood (254,000 km) to drive and I didn't even spend $2,000 to get both.
Ken, i'm interested. Called your number and left a message. Can we figure out a way to do this? I'm halfway to Welland next tues-thurs for a retreat. On wed. afternoon we have free time - probably enough time for a trip to welland. there is no owner contact info available - who do I contact re buying this car.

Sorry I missed your call-I had a few spare minutes this morning so I ran it over for an e-test, this should give you some important info by the end of the day-today,-like I said I was thinking I'll try to certify and ask more dollars but if your interested at this price it'll be OK with the e-test, if it for some reason doesn't pass I'll have saved you the headache.
contact info is Ken @ (905) 714-1403 Welland, the address is 21 Edgewood Ave. Welland L3C 1N6-the car is currently registered in my father's name
somehow I couldn't retrieve your telephone message but I did see Speelman on the call display
Where i live, i don't need an e-test! I'll call you! thanks

Wow ! down here it seems to be a bigger issue than the certification-The e-test will be done today anyway-I dropped it off at 9-9:30, so other than a little preventative maintenance and a good mechanic you'll be ready to roll !
Are you coming from or through the London area ? I was going to buy a go cart but would need it picked up-I'd pay.
haven't figuered out yet how to get the car home, is it roadworthy/is it current;y plated/registered? the simplest would be to drive it home, else got to get a trailer or something.
how big is the gocart? with or without roll bars, would it fit inside a 3500 express van? Wasn;t planning on going through London , but could figure something out.
If you have "current plates", from a car, you have 7 days to change over, at MTO.. Insurance covers you as well...All you need is bill of sale, and vehicle 1/2 of ownership . As soon as Ken signs the ownership, he is not responsible for the car, any further..that would get it home...

I believe you are correct Carl-the insurance is the big thing-and I believe your company is on the hook for 14 days
