I don't know anything about Acadians but my Beaumont's are body color under the gas tank, but primer on the floor boards. The body color paint fade on the firewall is also correct. I painted my resto black on the bottom and it looks great, plus the black bottom paints are far more durable. The acadian looks good by the way. Is the motor a numbers match or date code?
Beautiful work Bill-excellent detail in everyway!! Nice to see that someone down in the States has taken to Beaumonts and Acadians so strongly. Most guys I run into down in the States have not much idea of what is what when it comes to the Canadian cars. You have definately done your homework on them.I hope I get to see them in person someday! What a beautiful example of Canadian built cars!!
Bill are you planning to have the L79 ready for the POCI show in Dayton?? WE will be bringing the 65 L79 Beaumont there. We also may have the second 65 L79 Beaumont ready. Also POCI is trying to start a new Canadian Speciality Chapter for Canadian Pontiacs, Acadians, and Beaumonts. See the the thread in the Lounge Form. Joe & Susie

I will be there with the Acadian. Should be awesome to have the l79's together. Look forward to seeing you. I will have the entire family with me. If I can get another trailer I might bring one of the Beaumonts as well. Bill
Do you mean, take it for some, sideways, tire spining, power shifting, SPIN? or a easy ride around the block, so it won't get dirty? I am afraid, if I had a car that detailed I would put it in a clear bag lol Beautifull resto
Hey Carl, I think my first spin will be a bit on the conservative side.
Plans are to show it for a few years and then return it to its day to look minus the hacked up quarters.
Hillar. The shop doing the resto is MuscleCar CPR in Monacca PA. I met these guys several years ago while restoring my 68 yenko Camaro. They have restored many of the countries nicest GM supercars . Most of there world class restos have been Camaros but they have done what is arguably the worlds nicest Yenko Chevelle. The company is basically a two man show. Chuck Huber and Paul Cupp. Paul is an ex Nova L79 owner and Chuck has owned several high dollar musclecars including one of the worlds nicest rs ss 68 yenko camaros. No BS NO CRAZY PRICES just real guys who treat your cars like they were there own. I would totally reccomend them to anyone. They just finished a ram air 4 70 Trans Am that was out of this world.
