Hi guys, I'm new to this site, and am looking for any leeds in restoring my trans am. It's an 87, but the interesting part about this particular car is that it's a documented players challenge race car! (gm of canada certified) Does anyone have any info from the series? (photos, parts, memorabilia or anything pertaining to this etc..) Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you for reading.
I remember the cars well, they used to race them in Westwood in Coquitlam, kids name was Moore, forget his first name, he went on into Indy league I believe, parents owned a GM dealership, I believe in Maple Ridge. The dealership mat have info, give me time, I might remeber the names
Thank you, the kids name was gregg moore, he was killed in a wreck in (98I think. By the way I used to live in surrey ( had a 69 restored gto rag at that time 5 yrs ago it was green)
Yeah your third gen is cool, not to many were made. I saw a firebird with the same set-up with 20,000K at a car show in hamilton in the summer. mine is rare to, 1 of 22.
Thank you, already do.(wife mad as have been on from when I got home.
Glad you got the Avatar working, car looks great in that shot!
Remember that Valentines Day is coming up, best to stay in the good books. You'll be addicted soon, if not already, so everything in moderation. Pay no attention to the fact that I am closing in on 2,700 posts, I barely ever sign on.
Thank you for the great welcome. yeah valentine's day is comming and I think the wife may just get a roll cage for the gift.(if she can't use it, oh well then maybe I can have it.) The response has been terrific, so hopefully someone know's something. Great site.
I crewed for a Firehawk team that had a ex players challenge car. We raced from 88 until 91 with it. Our main driver was Kat Teasdale. Ron and Rob Fellows were heavy into it as well.
Cool, I've seen a picture of her when she racedback in 88/9? Do you know if she's still around? It would be cool if that firehawk is still alive. I'm in niagara, so if anyone has any info, I will travel a bit. Thank's for the info.
