I have paper work from GM that says  The 67 Sport Deluxe series  ( rear Cove Molding with Black Paint ) hope this helps

does that mean the colour of paint in the rear crome beween the rear lights on a 69? that matches the SD stripe?

No that was for the 67 SD i'll put the 67 in my post My 69  SD had the white strips and the chrome between the back up lights where painted white

oh ok,i saw on once that was orange on a 67 SD but im sure it was painted by a previous owner
