Yeck! I can't stand those stretched Pinto's no matter who drove one! I remember a friend of mine bought a new 74 fastback and brought it over to my house to show me and take me for a cruise. I remember telling him he should take it back and trade it on a used '73. He wasn't to happy about my opinion.
The Pinto-stangs really were a "chick car", I think that's where the phrase may have even originated. I mean how could you take seriously a Mustang that came with 4 bolt 13 inch wheels? But the chicks must have loved them, of the top 10 selling Mustang model years of all time, believe it or not, 4 of them are from this 74-78 era.

I recently picked up seasons one and two of Charlie's Angels from the bargain bin at Wally-Mart for like $10 each. I won't be watching it for the Pinto-Stangs...
Actually the best old TV series for seeing old cars is Chips. Mid-80's California, TONS of 60's and 70's stuff still on the road.

On October 4, 2006, it was revealed that Fawcett had anal cancer, and was undergoing treatment, including chemotherapy and surgery.[8] Thus, a possible Charlie's Angels reunion was put on hold.
The Associated Presswire service reported on her 60th birthday that Fawcett was now cancer free.[9] Fawcett said in a statement, "This is an extraordinarily happy day for me and my family. I hope that my news might offer some level of inspiration to others who unfortunately must continue to fight the disease." [10]
On Wednesday, May 16, 2007, it was reported that a malignant polyp was found in the area where Fawcett had been treated for the initial cancer. Doctors contemplated whether to implant a radiation seeder (which differs from conventional radiation and is used to treat other types of cancer).[11] Fawcett, however, chose to travel to Germany (with O'Neal) for cancer treatment not available in the U.S. This treatment in Germany has been, or continues to be, filmed for a possible reality television show.[12]
the angels certainly were better than the 'stang's. a friend had one of those and i never liked it, thought it ruined the mustang name! I agree, Jacklyn was by far the better looking one, but I preferred the voice of the third one, forget her name off hand. just saw her in a recent movie actually.
Cool on the Wangers connection...I wasn't aware the Big-Wig had anything to do w/ these cars..
On Charlies girls, of the original three I always liked J. Smith best, Farah 2'nd & never cared much for K. Jackson.. Farah could've been 1'st on the list but I could never get past her early appearances as Lee Major's girl on The 6 Million $ Man when she sported a bit of a moustache!.
Cheryl Ladd beats them all...I'd drink her bathwater anytime!!!
