Had a good find at local wrecker yard. small but good.

I always look in the local wrecking yards for odds and ends, you never no.
Found this mirror in a truck of a  car. Trunk had about 10 mirrors in it
and this one poped out at me. Mine has a brocken tip on it were it mounts to door, this one perfict. Even has bracket and cable, Its an exact match
to the one on my Beaumont, and only cost one buck. Happy dance !!

Great find. That reminds me when I found a ram air cleaner for a 69 GS 400 in the back of an old school bus at an auto wreckers in London. The guy behind the counter said "WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT?". I paid 20 bucks.

3 year ago, I found a complete 1969 GS 400 engine with a 3 speed dearborn trany attached to it, at a farmer's garage sale in his yard, sadly the block and heads were toast from water ingress and the air cleaner and exhaust manifolds were gone. I always ask farmers if they have old engines or cars they want to sell.

Sure sounds like a Merv's auto story to me. I haven't been there for years. It's time again...
