I would guess he'll own them for a while. No race history either.

Yeah no race history hurts the history of the cars, although they are in excellent shape as they never got banged up crashed, then sold for street use. Wish I had the dough to buy. But the wife would kill me. I do know of one thats in pieces though, waiting to be restored.(camaro) I think it's a 91.

Here's a couple of 91's I was involved with. One raced in the west out of Penticton. It was painted red and sponsored by Budweiser the first year, and a Japanese restaurant the next. I have photos somewhere.
The other was shipped to Monaco.

Cool, Did you race it, or crew? Nice view, I remember pentiction, as I was on the west coast for 15 years. I worked with a guy from summerland, his name was lloyd Whitnack. Ring any bells?

It was raced by a guy named Bill Drossos for 2 seasons, and then he got it repainted white. I believe he still has it, and he told me a few years ago it would never be sold.
I did all the lettering on it both years. I bought the take out engine intending to put it into one of my vehicles, but never did. He ended up buying it back to preserve the car as a numbers matching car.
The other car went to Jacques Villenueve in Monaco, and as far as I know, he still has it, although much modified, and now silver.
These cars had the stiffest factory suspension I'd ever felt, and I really wanted one at the time, but of course they were restricted, and I'd missed the deadline for ordering.
I also lettered another Players car, a Firebird for a guy in Langley. I have photos of that one too. I also drove it to Vancouver from Penticton over the Coquihala highway, and saw a pretty good speed. (What is the statute of limitations for velocity violations?)
I enjoyed my involvement with those cars, and it provided a taste of the big time. I got tickets to the Vancouver Indy for a few years for free too!
 :)

Cool story, I have the 87 trans am that is my avitar. It is slowly coming back to life! I actually met and had drinks with the fellow that raced mine back in the day(what a hoot he is!) They are quite the cool cars with the history and all. If you can, please send me anything that you have from the series that you may want to part with. (will pay of course!) If you ar interested, I know of a complete but totally disassembled 91 camaro that raced out here. Please p.m me if you want more info on the car (phone # and I'll call ya back.)
