If it's as good underneath as it looks, I'm imagining it being 1.5" lower (front and rear), black paint, 8" rallyes, and my spare L-72 under the hood.

If only it were a '67. wink

Very nice. Makes me want to head down to Texas with an 18-wheel car carrier.

I first saw this car advertised about a year ago in Old Autos, I'm surprised it hasn't sold yet if it's as good as the owner claims it to be.  I'm worried the interior has been butchered for the stereo system...

I went to Collingwood to look at this car last June. It's nice, but not as nice as it looks. The main thing that put me off was bubbling rust and bondo along the top of the quarters adjacent to the side glass, and especially below the pillars at the tailgate glass. Not an $8500.00 car in my opinion, but lots to work with at a lower price. If anyone is interested in it, let me know. I may have some pictures, though it was starting to get dark when I looked at it.

Is this a 350/300 HP car? And is it blue or aqua inside - I can't tell for sure?

I wonder why the 350 emblem is behind the wheel. Should be in front. confuse

Strange some of the option decisions people made.

For example, that nice white wagon is a Kingswood Estate (equivalent to a Caprice), but it came out of the factory with manual windows, no power locks and no tilt (that I can see).

Remember back then and even now most cars are sold from dealer stock, so dealer personnel responsible for placing orders made many of these decisons. Cars were ordered to be sold so in theory they knew they client base.

It was 1970 options were not that common-its a family wagon- air because it was in Texas

Yeah. On my '67, there was a $5 difference between tinted windshield and all-round tinted glass. It's hard to get my mind back to where it would be rational to choose tinted-windshield-only to save approx. $5. confuse

How times have changed.

I was thinking about going to look at the white car, because it does appear to be pretty straight, but the absence of PW, PDL and tilt takes off some of the shine. I do like the idea of cruising in an old Caprice (Kingswood Estate) wagon, but not when my passengers have to crank the window down to wolf-whistle at the pretty ladies. wink
