I had one, a '78 Bought it in Jan '79 just after the the '79's started hitting the street. I couldn't believe how many of them were around in Southern Ontario at the time. I had a great time with that car. By the time I went to sell it in the summer of '80 to buy a Corvette the price had dropped on them huge. I had a hard time getting $6000 for it. Another one I should have kept!

Cousin had a 77, he got a new T/A  in 86 and gave it to his little brother who rolled it on Simcoe Country Road #6 about 1990. Yes alcohol was involved. That thing sat in the wrecking yard on Thunder Beach Rd. for 17 years. I looked last summer and it was gone.

They were a dime a dozen when I was in high school in the late 80's. Who would have thought they would be collectable as I had 4 or 5 over the years.

I remember them being all over back in the late 80's as well.  Went to look at a carcus of a '68 Chevelle Ragtop at the local wreckers.  A buddy of mine pointed out all of the Camaro's and Firebirds sitting together near the back of the yard (1975's up to 1981).  There was at least 25 of them,  all lined up to be crushed.  About a quarter of them were still real decent.  There were just so many around that it didn't matter at the time.
