DTStainless - Beuamont trim remanufacturers

Hi there.
My name is Taylor and I am the co owner of DTStainless.
I hope that I am not breaking any site rules by posting this.
We are a new company running out of ontario, canada who is remanufactureing Beumont trim.
We remanufacture Chevelle trim specifically to the Beaumont out of stainless steel instead of the original aluminum.
Our website is currently under construction but if you contact me at
taylor@dtstainless.com then i will be happy to talk to you.
We are currently working on pictures of restorations with our trim on it but this will take a couple weeks as the cars are currently in the restoration process.
Thank you for your time.

-Taylor Bousquet

We specifically aim towards side body trim.
We can do all years.
The only thing that is required is that you have the original trim to send us so that we can have an identical copy made.
We are a new business are are currently working on building an inventory of different years so that later on this step will not be required.
If you have any further questions please contact me at taylor@dtstainless.com .

Interesting to see. Would that include rear lower quarter trim for a 64? Have a friend that was going to try for me in the next couple weeks, if it doesn't work out I'll get in touch with you.

A new set of 68 SD side trim would be nice.

We can make that but again, you must have the original set since we do not currently have a stock of many years.

i've tried the website a couple of time and shes not working. so i'll post my question here. I have a piece of trim for one side of a car i'm working on and would like the same for the other side, do you make copies. the car is a 63 beaumont wagon converted over to a 2 dr, so the trim is actually from a 2 dr 63 beaumont. and do you need trim to make copies? i have some stuff for 63 and 64 acadians.

Will you reproduce anything for other than a Beaumont?

Mark.

I will be the first to ask about the 65 Beaumont Sport deluxe rocker molding. Can you reproduce that because of it's beveled edges and if you can who's going to send there rocker chrome to you to get a template. Or maybe you have a set already? I don't have a spare set and would have to remove a set from a driving car I own. It would be better if a local could do it. Where are you located?

Stephen Zone: You can try the website at http://www.dtstainless.com/
Currently in order to give a quote and to have it copied, we need the original.
You can contact me at taylor@dtstainless.com to set that up and get an address.

CDNpont: Yes we can as long as you send us the piece that you want to be reproduced. We are only keeping a stock of the beaumont trim so anything other than beaumont will always require you to send it to us.

65sssd: We do not currently have the 65 trim. We have a full 66 SD set but im sure they are different. I do not know of anyone who does have a 65 set.
The beveled edges are no problem as the 66 has the same issue. Again, I doubt that the 65 and 66 trim is the same.

We are currently looking at buying full sets of trim. If you are interested in having a new set made, we will then offer to buy the old originals off you.
At the current moment since we are building a stock of trim sets for each year of the beaumont, it is required that you send us the trim for a quote and to have it reproduced. This step will be skipped if we have your desired set in stock. You can check our website under the Our Products page to view our stock.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions.

-Taylor

I'm not going to take a set of 65 Beaumont sport deluxe rocker chrome off my SD to send it to you, so I hope somebody local will step up. Let me know if that happens or list the years that you have in stock in your website. I know that purchasing a set of 65 Beaumont SD chrome is impossible because I would have a set if that was the case. 12 yrs, No chrome found. Good luck, hope you find a set.

Kelly
I e-mailed him direct for the same thing. I asked for a very ROUGH quote before going any further. I hope to get a response. If they can do what they say, he will have a ton of buisness providing it's reasonably priced. Look at the Chevelle suppliers, we sell loads of that stuff from about 5 different sources. I sure hope this works out.

let me get this str8. In order for me to get a quote, I have to send you my trim first. Lets just say hypotheticaly, I think your quote is too steep. Whats stopping you from copying my trim that I sent, and profiting off it. Whats in it for me?, any royalties? I understand sharing, and making things available, however I am concerned with profiting from something I request a quote on. Simply, its a request for a quote, not a request to have the piece fondled and redistributed, then profit from it

Hi there.

I actually never thought of that. Are looking for a job? haha

Currently we are trying to build an inventory so if your willing to sell us your original trim then please contact us. The trim does not need to be in mint condition but in a well enough condition that its not in pieces.

Thanks.

Is anyone here looking to sell a set of 65 SD rocker trim? There has been a lot of questions towards this set year and we would like to have it for inventory.
Please contact me if you are interested.

Kelly, so are you getting the sd emblems reproduced? If so, rough idea of when?
I just feel a year from now when your and my cars are done, everything will be available. It's still fun doing all this, otherwise it would be just 'nother chevelle...

I also want to get a idea of the money involved to have a 65 SD Beau trim reproduced. So kelly is your rocker chrome idea solid aluminum, cast aluminum, or stainless? It's good to see somebody solving the SD problem. As for the SD emblems I don't need reproductions, but it will help others that want to keep there cars stock looking. I hope that people don't get greedy with the prices of there reproductions because that will kill the demand. Unless it matches exactly I would sooner modify a gto trim.

Looks great! Any rough idea on cost?
DT stainless gave me a ROUGH idea on the side moulding set for $1000. He stressed it was a ROUGH price until he got a set in his hands.
What do you guys think?

Well.. I sent my Drivers side rocker chrome yesterday (saturday), so he should have it by next week sometime. then he'll let me know what the damage will be. I think a grand is pretty steep, but I guess we'll see.
As for the SD emblems.. I'm going to see how they turn out first.. then I'll send one or two to a few guys to see what they think.. then.. probably just enough to cover the costs of getting the mold, drawings, materials.. I dont want to make a bunch of money on this venture.. I'm only doing it out of necessity for my own car. and I like to see other "car guys" get what they need to make it come together.

all the best. and I'll keep you posted when I hear back from Taylor

Do you have a website yet. I have a 63 acadian that could use a few better pieces if the price is right. Thanks
