1964 4-door Tempest - not mine

Saw this in Mount Pleasant, Ontario today.

Interior's very rough. The whole car is pretty tired, but looks like it's all there. That's all I know. No one was around.

Looks to be a 6 cyl car. Sure would be a great parts car for a GTO guy if it's not worth restoring.

Hey Carl, what are the tell tale signs that this is a six cylinder car? Is it the lack of badging, tail pipe exit location, just curious. I like it.

Yes, the only 2 options are 6 or 326 and the 326 would have the "326" with the flags on it. That is assuming they aren't just missing of course.

Hmm, I happen to have a very very nice 64 Lemans hood for sale. Solid as a rock too.

Not sure how we could arrange a sale on it though. I may be able to get it to Calgary or even into BC sometime if it is not a hurry.

The 6 was a unique Pontiac version of the Chevy 6, displacing 215 cubic inches.
The 326 was also available as an "HO" version putting out 280 hp.

Maybe we could relay-race the car out West?.
If it's possible, I could get it running/brakes on this end and drive it to the next guy who can meet up w/ the next...and so on?.

Not 100% positive but last I heard was that 4 door was 4 inches lnger but has been a lot of talk so I really can't confirm that. Most other stuff is the same as far as I know. Fenders, inners, driveshaft?? rear axle, dash, hood, trunk lid. etc.
