That nova SS L-79 is a gem. What was the original drive train?

that car is a vin 117, 6 cyl SS car.  It appears that the only thing changed is the L-79 in place of the 6 cyl.

He has contacted me again and we are back in talks.  The only hang up seems to be, I'm not willing to drive 500 miles or more out of my way and spend a couple extra days on the road so that he can have a look see.
I'm in Florida and will be going home to Michigan, New York is not exactly along the way.
So, I'm trying to give any prospective buyers or traders a better idea of the condition of the car in order to help their decision making process.  I would need some kind of commitment prior to going that far out of my way.
I currently have an offer of a very nice "show condition" BBC, 68 C-10 step side in SC or a 68 Firebird turnkey race car in NC.  Both of which are not that far out of the way going home.
Also, a 67 Dodge Coronet, 383, 4 spd complete car in very good condition in Tennesee that is on my route, just not on my list of cars I always wanted to own.

Depending how much rust is on the outside of your car, it sounds like a fare trade to me. It's a convertible and they are worth more than a HT anyday if they are optioned the same.

Nova Convertible was sold this morning to a gentleman and his wife that flew in to Florida from Texas.  Got my price with no trade so all is good here.

That does leave me with an empty hauler going north so I will post an ad for services available.  The 68 Beaumont is still in Tampa if anyone is interested.
