Back from Fort Desoto Florida BBRRRRRRRRRRR !!!

   It was sunny everyday for the one week I was there and 85 degree F weather ! I spent most days on the beach so I didn't even see one GTO or older american Ponchos, I went to Ken speed and machine shop in Brooksville and they told me I missed the biggest FL Pontiac swapmeet and carshow by a weekend, darn ! I went to a very big Fleamarket last saturday, takes about 4 hours to go through it. There was alot of made in Taiwan junk tools but some nice antique ones too. I didn't find any scrapyards with classic cars around where I was and, was told they had been picked over the years. I only bought a Pontiac 400-455 roller timing chain, they didn't have any cams and lifters in stock, hard to bring heavy engine parts back on the plane. Here is a pic of me with my CP T-shirt in front of the shop and a nice beach shot. It was -22C here in Winnipeg this morning...come on summer !IMG_1199.JPGIMG_1191.JPG

Florida is good, Winter in Canada is a way of Life. I'd say welcome home Pascal but I can't imagine a swing of 45 degrees is welcoming! At least you had one week of nice warm climate and some pleasing images on the beach I see as well.

I know some people who have been in Florida in February and March. On one particular day it was warmer here at home than it was at Disney. Not the norm but there have been some cold days I'm told.

Hope it will be warmer when I make my visit in a few weeks. Barrett Jackson Palm Beach wil be on then - anyone here have a recommendation on whether BJ is worth attending even if you're not a high roller buyer?
