Hi guys! I'm a newbie from Finland. I recently bought a Beaumont wagon 69 (Later I can post pictures of it too - right now there's about 4 inches of snow on top of the car) While searching the net for some information about my new ride I stumbled upon this great site!
Welcome, wow !! 69 Beaumont wagon, thats great. Please if you can post some pics. And regester your car info under Beaumont regestry, I think Fred was just saying we have not got any 69 Beaumont wagons yet.
Welcome to the site Katty. It always surprises me how small the world is. We have people here from around the globe. Hope you send some pics of your car soon, and also include a couple pics of your little piece of "earth" Leo
If it is a 69 beaumont wagon built for export sales, i would guess it is probably about 1 of less than 10. i think there was only about 30 or so in canada?
You should get the GM docs on that car! it would be very interesting to see.

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH. The other one has a longer roof.
It has been dawning on me that I might have bought a car that is not the most common to come across.
When we went to look at this car for sale three weeks ago, we actually thought we were going to see a Pontiac Safari, because that's what the guy who sold it had put in ad. When we got there he just said that he wasn't very sure what to call it. I just instantly fell in love with it and had to have it.
My insurance company isn't sure what to call it either. After I had visited their office with all my papers, it still took them days to have the insurance made for the car (usually it is done in 10 minutes) After two days I called to ask what is the matter. The companys computer program was giving them trouble, since it didn't know and approve the name Beaumont at all.

I just realised that I do have one picture of my Beau (without snow that is). Haven't taken the photo myself, but I don't think that the guy who sold me my car would mind me putting this on the forum.
The sad thing is that it hasn't got original engine or transmission.

Looks in good shape. What engine is in there now ?
Ian
Actually none right now. It was sold complitely without it and since I've only got it 3 weeks ago, we haven't had time to mount one. It's propably going to be 305+th350. We haven't firmly decided that yet. It had a bigger engine a few years back. It has 10 bolt rear differential lock and Chevelle SS brakes and reinforced chassis.
And thank you everyone for the warm welcomes, I'm sure this forum is going to be very helpful to know.

We drive on the right side of road.
I'm still trying to figure out what kind of history it has. I think it wasn't originally from Finland. Called Vehicle Registry Center of Finland today and their worker told me she doesn't immediately see information about the car beyond 2003, so I ordered all info. It'll take about three weeks to arrive.
Also ordered GMCanada documents last week. Thank you (I don't remember right now who it was) to the person who had scanned the request for vintage vehicle information and had put it on this site.
