1st day of spring, who has their car ready?

Tomorrow is the offical 1st day of spring after what has seemed like the longest winter in decades(at least for me) and it's snowing outside my window. But, what I want to know is who has their ride ready to go if we get early good weather? What did you do to it over the winter, or what did you buy over the winter? I'm still neck deep in projects with no shop right now so you can call me a slacker.

I couldn't wait any longer. I fired her up and blasted down the 401 for an hour last Saturday. Didn't do anything to it this winter. I'm waiting to finish my shop before getting it up on the hoist and cleaning the underside again.

I was just at 65Camino's place messing with one of his cars but man I came home it is way to cold tonight. I started mine about 3 weeks ago. I purchased door pins and drivers side door hinges and a custom sport steering wheel over the winter, will have to deal with those soon.

You're not kidding it was long and now there is snow on the ground again (thankfully not much-perhaps .5 cm). I did jack squat this winter. For some reason I've had no ambition to go out to the garage. It seemed the weekends were busy and I was too tired after work to do anything. Things should start moving a little quicker now that Mark (cdnpont) dropped off his engine crane last night. Now I can put the 454 on my stand and start cleaning it up. I likely won't take it out for a run until mid April when we've had lots of rain to wash the salt off the roads.

As for the projects I am guilty as interests have changed direction a bit and I am now the owner of an 07 flhtc so lots of time being spent on that hetting it ready for the riding season

Vern, I can help you with that decision. You need to buy that stuff that was offered to you at Robin's the other night. I don't want to be the one who says "I told you so" and kicks you hard in the *** after he sells it to somone off this board and then you decide you need it!

I was booting around in the rain and all of a sudden the red and blues were behind me. After a few minutes of telling me how fast I was going......I guess he got a call and gave my stuff back. Never did anything to my other car like I was going too.

Both cars move under their own power.
The Beaumont has had nothing done. I believe it can go any time I need it.

The 2+2 has received a transmission transplant. Now that my health is improving I can consider working on the projects that should have been completed already.

Thanks to Big Ray and my Dad coming over we got the Mustang out of the garage. Saturday I'll pull the trans. out for it it's rebuilding.

I've driven the El C. in and out of the drive way a few times. Couple more weeks and I'll be able to afford insurance. Either that or some warmer weather. Too bad someone bent my heater control!

Normally the 65 Beau 4dr is cruising, but the weather is the s**ts, and there's a foot of snow behind it.. All the cars run and I am excited this year because I am off of the gravel. No more piggy backs to the road.

My Acadian is ready to go, needs a wash to get rid of the dust and it's spring oil , filter and grease. Also about an hour's worth of driving to get rid of the fuel stabilizer treated fuel. Waiting for a couple days of rain to wash the tons of salt from our wonderful highways.

My 79 T/A could use a bunch of stuff, but... I think it's going to get bare minimum maintainence and a wash job. Brakes, steering & suspension are all good, new tires, (wrong size) so fix a tailight problem and it's good to go. Cosmetics?....... Well that's going to have to wait for a fresh cash influx, such as a lottery. Here it sits in storage.storage car 009.jpg.

Mine is in a piled of parts, LOL, had some quarter skins installed and then started stripping the rest of it. Not even sure it will see the road this year, Which I really hate to see,  But unless I get real busy and quit helping my buddy with his 65 cuda, I won't be driving it. Maybe just in epoxy primer this year..  :(

Been car busy today, took Suburban in for service, slipped over to 65Camino's and helped him remove his transmission, stopped to take in a quick meeting at 1:00 pm and lunch then fired up the LeMans and went for a short run, it needs a wash real bad after a winter of lying low in the garage, where does all the dust come from?? It seems to be running fine however. biggrin
