It is a cool car but I can't help myself. By 1972 all horsepower was rated in net terms so that same engine in 1971 was about 325 HP under the gross measure.

Thats true it is closer to 325 and thats only at 4000 rpm  the 250 was rated at only 3400 RPM. it pulls very strong cept for a slight exhaust leak on the pass side

I like it too plus the added benefit of being a '72 is it already has hardened valve seats so Ok w/ unleaded fuel!.

Very nice find ! You must have got it for a nice price, what's the mileage on it ? Did they build GP's in Oshawa Ontario ? IMO 1972 was pretty much the last year of the musclecars besides the 1974 SD455 Transam.

Hey Kim, If I remember well, your GTOs have 455s too... Also you can stroke a Pontiac 400 to a 455+ LOL !

No flooding here yet, the Lasalle river behind my place is at normal level so far. rain and snow all week sure ain't helping though. My 5" tall unfinished 100 year old basement always leaks a little comes spring time.

Neat pick up Ken.  Gotta like a plain jane GP, all you need to add is the posi!wink  I think you need to correct your sig though...

Ray, you know my thoughts on this.biggrin  The only numbers I care about are those produced at the drag strip or the dyno!

Sure a neat car Ken.

A bit heavy on the Buicks in the signature I see. You need to spice it up a bit with some Canadian Ponchos!
