Which Radiator Should I Use?


Thanks to everyone who voted using the Poll!

I had narrowed it down to 2 alternatives, both are Aluminum with 2 rows of 1" tubes, cost $300US + shipping, should work for my 496 in the future (and will be overkill for the 261 now but might as well plan ahead):

Option 1: Welded tanks

Looks more like race car styling, my car is more street/strip than race car, but I haven't shied from hi-perf items and the engine compartment will not be stock (power brakes and dual master cylinder with proportioning valve, battery relocated to trunk, windshield wiper motor relocated to under dash, alternator not generator, some day A/C, etc.)

Option 2: Formed tanks very much like original

This one is polished so will add to beauty, and styling is 50's to match the overall car. I am keeping the original core support an inner fenders.

AND NOW THE RESULTS: The clear favorite (12 to 1) was Option 2. That, plus the fact that my wife liked it best smile.gif made it the obvious choice. So I bought it!

I should have thought of that, I can run them in tandem and NEVER have any cooling problems biggrin.gif

i used the original tanks in my 55 but went with a 4 core. she never gets hot and i've been to the east coast twice with her. i voted original looking
