In November of 2007 I put new floor pans in this Nova for an acquaintance from Winnipeg. I have bugged him ever since to come and pick it up. The deal was it was supposed to go home as soon as I finished the job (as in Nov 07). It is still here. I took these pictures about 45 minutes ago. You can guess its future...

Highway 75 runs north/south 2 miles from here. It goes from Winnipeg to the US border. The Trans Canada is the only highway in Manitoba with more traffic.  75 is closed to traffic due to high water. We drove over there tonight. When we pulled up to the stop sign this is what we saw when we looked north, then south. I have my own private dragstrip 2 miles away!!!

Sad isn't it? I plan to boat over there tomorrow (about 1/8 mile away in another part of our "forest") to take shots of it. I assume the water will be in the car now.

I was looking at old pics tonight and found some of our Grand National insurance wreck (18,000km car) from 1991-1992. Neat car...

That last one's no AMC!! I like the second and third one. I just never got warmed up about the Marlins though. I guess they're neat, just not for me.

When I was restoring my 63 Studebaker I picked up this extremely rare 65 Stude Daytona "Sport Sedan" from a farmer in Burford, Ont. I paid $75. This car was built in Hamilton and was one of 1626. The car was built with a Chevy (Mckinnon) 283 backed by a Borg Warner Automatic trans. The engine was gone but the desirable engine mounts were still there. Also present was the Dana 44 Twin Traction rear end, transistorized ignition, full gauges and a host of other rare parts. Too bad she was so rotten. She would be a cool car! I stripped it pretty quick as it really stunk. Back then the garage I used was attached to the house....

That Marlin belongs to a friend of mine. You should see the difference from the way it looked when he bought it!

Shopping on line for wrecks, out of boredom and I find this. Sad. Must be real because in the Actual Value line it says $195,000. I find it hard to believe a real one is worth that but maybe it's a Ram Air IV or something.
