Horn assembly

Does anyone have an exploded view of a horn assembly for a 65 acadian canso sd (with the ring). I seem to be missing a part(s). Even a  picture of yours pulled apart with the parts mearby would be great!

Thanks

Mike

Mike, do you just mean the ring and cap or the stuff inside the wheel as well?

No I have the ring and cap. I also have a few other parts but I am sure I am short a couple as i can't get the horn to operate when I put it all together. I bought a ket but i think it was for a steering wheel without the ring.

Does Johann's picture do it for you Mike or do you still need to see more?

I have that in a manual but it is not really clear. It appears that there is another spacer of some sort between the spring and the horn ring. I think that is the peice I am missing. anyone know where I can get that?

There is a nylon spacer that comes in there:

Contact Carl??????.
Johann

Take a close look at the Picture in the manual and you will see the nylon insert.  I just discovered that I put it before the plate!  No wonder my horn works when it wants to!!!ashamed

Mike

Is it the one in the picture that has the 3 screws in it, left side of the pic?

Or do you mean the flat piece with the 3 half moons cut out on the right side of the pic?

I can check. I don't think I have one but it seems to me it fits a lot of cars.

If you can't get one, make one from polyurethane.  The halfmoons are there to clear the three screws and there are three inlets that allows the fitment to the plate.  Thickness about 3mm.  Tupperware will work!aww
