That's a pretty rare one! Don't think it'll ever be worth too much, but would make a cool street rod.

This makes three that I've seen in the past year. Another brown one in upstate NY. There is a blue one with a 400 that I tried to buy before I got the El C. When the owner mentioned a rusty frame I went elsewhere.

One day though...

I hear that!  There's a nice one i've seen for sale that lives on my way to work.    Nice shape, probably an auto.  I'll see about getting a pic sometime.  It was by the road last year, been moved back i see for now.

When I worked at the Pontiac dealership from 80-85 a young girl bought an 80 model from us. I always liked those cars ever since.

rofl.gif   Nah, not that one. Can't even remember what she looked like, but loved her car.

Now the one who's dad bought her a brand new 85 Acadian......

And daddy had money too.

Like our service manager says, "The first time I married it was for love. I won't make that mistake again!"   And for the record, he's happily married, first time!

Wow, don't see these very often.
My friend bought an 80 Grand Am from Park Pontiac in Winnipeg back in 1980.
What a nice car. It had a 305cid, auto, 2dr. Silver in colour with black trim.
We cruised a lot in that car. He replaced the head unit with a Pioneer unit, added an amp and some bigger speakers.
Yup, nice car.

Both still require a lot of work.

I think I have the sales brochure maybe. I should check.

I didn't know they had many engine options. Had forgotten a 305 could be had too. I should have remembered in those days it seemed like there were no rules as to what came with what.

Several years ago I bought a 79 Cutlass Supreme from a guy in North Carolina in about the same condition.  It had a 4 speed and a 260 V-8, bucket seats and console.
It was a very solid car, no rust but it was brown and the paint was so dead the car looked like it was covered in surface rust.
I made it look better and sold it to a guy in Illinois.  That was also a rare car.
