photo's 1965 pontiac parisenne safari wagon

This is my dads summer cruiser!

Car was a 283, 2 speed powerguild.

Motor and trany, still intact on a stand in garage.

Now has 350/300hp 3 speed.

Came out of 1969 chevy caprice estates wagon.

The reason why he swapped it out!, was because he wanted AC in the car and couldn't find all the right bracket, for the 283.

The 350 had, the brakets and all the other components need to swap it over, so he can have an undermounted AC installed!

easy enough to swap back to make it original once again!

Added disk brakes 2 years ago, so he can stop this monsterious boat(no feddie finstone brakes anymore) LOL

I hope you all enjoy this master piece of canadian history!

ENJOY!!!!

That is a very cool car. Love the red/red.

By the way, I see a slightly belated happy birthday is in order!

I fell for it the moment I seen it! The red on red is a nice combo and the old American's set it off just right!

Does this car live in Ingersoll? If not there is a twin to it around here.
Nice!

Wagons in hamilton, but would love to see the one up there, and maybe buy it!

My dad goes to car shows every night and every weekend, rain or shine!

So maybe it was his that you saw.

When you guys see it at a show, don't be affraid to say Hi to GARY, thats my dad!

He is a true cruiser, and loves to talk shop, about any and all types of cars!

You might evening catch him having a cat nap! he is getting up there in his years! LOL

The rims are 200s american racing(they really set this car off, it complement all that chrome!

Now you know why I posted up here to try and find some for my 66 buick skylark.

Cheers!
Steve

Is there any chance the car saw duty in a municipal Fire Dept. The reason I ask is because when I worked for a municipality we maintained the heck out of our fire vehicles. The chief or district chief cars were basically one driver cars decently equipped and we had them all on PM programs so the oil and fluids and what not were changed according to the book. In our municipality the chiefs took the cars home so they were real cream puffs.

The wagon was bought in toronto.

Lived it whole life with the same family, in Mindon ONT.

Summer use only.

My dad purchase this car from the grandson of the orginal owner, he was trying to sell it in his area for more than two years. It even sat on the side of the road with a for sale sign in it for 4 months.

No takers!

He put it in the toronto autotrader, had about 50 calls the first day. he was going away and would not be back for 2 days. My dad was waiting for him when he came home.

Payed $5000.00 for it at the time.

The car was all original, the paint was faded so bad it was pink! had two different types of hup caps on it. a real diamond in the ruff!

I bet if he saw it now, he would be kik'n himself for selling it.

My dad is the proud owner of this wagon for 8 year now!

Your dad has a beautiful car there. I saw it up close, and took lots of pictures, last year at the Plunkett cruise-in in London. Love that red vinyl interior, same style as I had in my 65 Parisienne convertible.
