Who is going to Spring Carlisle ?

Headed down this afternoon. Not going to fine any Acadian or Beaumont stuff but maybe some treasure. Our dollar was a lot better in the fall so I don`t think I will be buying much. Going to pick up a few more battery tenders. They work great so I will put one on all the cars. Anyone else going?

A friend is on his way, I have to work and have no cash. He is on the lookout for a gray leather driver's seat for my GTA for me.

Heading out this afternoon. Only 2 days this year versus 3 normally. Yah, not a lot of Beaumont and Cdn Poncho stuff there but mechanical parts all interchange.
Weather is supposed to be reaaal nice ( mid 70's on Friday and into the 80's on Saturday.)

Another Spring Carlisle has come and gone.
Here's some of my thoughts
- weather A-1
- many Firebirds in the car corral including an '84, one of 1500, special 15th anniversary edition. ( 96,000 miles for $8800 asking price )
- some, but not a lot, of other Pontiacs..... and not a Cdn Poncho or Beaumont in site ( unlike other years )
- crowd was good on Friday; but Saturday, especially considering the weather, was lower than other years.
- they somehow saw fit to raise the admission price to $10
- still a very worthwhile trip

seen 2 64 bonny convertibles. Both had 8 bolt wheels and one was a 421. Prices for most things are still high. Weather was great.

I have not been to Carlisle in years and I miss it. It was always a good time, Cars and parts, food and drink, playing cards in the evenings. It was a blast and the weather was always warm....

The difference in our dollar and the fact my wife got our computer (Ebay's one button shopping) is what eventually killed my spring and fall trips down there. Glad to see a few of you still got down there and did some shopping.

Since purchasing this '34 Chev of ours, I'd really like to try Hershey and see all the older stuff. But not anytime soon...

Do Carlisle in the spring and Hershey in the fall.
Carlisle is more 50's, 60's, 70's etc.
Hershey is more the older stuff ( and more pure stuff with not much customizing )
The Saturday car show at Hershey is something that everyone should experience atleast once. Though it is contagious and once you've seen it once you keep going back. Watching the cars drive in is one special treat. You get to see, hear, smell and almost taste them. The variety and diversity is amazing.
Can't wait for Thanksgiving weekend.
