A New Gal In Town........

Now that I have your attention, this little beauty pulled up to the my shop today, I knew she was on her way, with brake and carb issues! But, I didn't realize she was going to be this nice!
I know, a Chevrolet, but just thought to share with you all...A 1940 Coupe with just 57,000mi on the clock and looks to be the original paint! A couple of "rubs" here and there but very nice survivor.......

Geez, is that ever nice, boy could GM designers ever get it done even back then. There was a time I wouldn't even give a car in that era a second glance but over the past few years I've really gained an appreciation for them.thumbsup.gif

Here is a couple of photos of the Chevy in OPP dress:

Ray, I agree with you! That is a nice pic of those in a row like that! Funny, I know this couple, my age or a little better, when he brought the car here she came in her van to pick him up. I was commenting on how good the car was for its age and she funningly remarked if we would like to be left alone with the car.....The average female response and of course, we hamed it up even more after that remark!

Yea, Dave, I found the clock quite interesting as well...I will be nice to take a peek under her when I place her on the hoist..........

I love those original oldies with true patina. I'd like to have a pre-war coupe and hot rod a 292 Jimmy inline 6 with a 4 speed and overdrive. Do the mechanical and just maintain the body as original paint. Fix the dents and touch up those areas only.

Very nice find. I would run her as is and wouldn't fix the dents either.

Based on my experience with a 39 Buick, if you fix up a really old car you can only pick up really old women.  Bummer!

Maybe its just me....
