Here from a country Fair held in Parys South Africa today! Note the Merc and Beemer parked either side of the Malibu to catch some of the limelight!!!!

Cool stuff Johann..thanks for sharing!. There's a possibility that Castrol plane was built in Canada too if a CCF Harvard version of the North American Texans.. Some Harvards were used in Rhodesia too so one could easily have ended up in SA?.

Hullo Pete, This is one subject I can really speak on with Authourity! I was stationed at 5 Squadron in Durban when we started the phasing out of Harvards. These Harvards (4 of) are all ex-SAAF planes that have been restored and are sponsored by Castrol. At the Airfield close to my Home there are several more that have been restored, some with their SAAF markings. One known very well to me is no: 7227! They all are Canadian Built dating from 1937!
