Emblem Placement

OK, I think I have all the emblems to clone my 66 custom to a 66 SD and to replace the other missing emblems. I see alot of discussion about poorly place emblems, but cannot find a post on the proper placement. This months feature car is fantastic but some of the pictures make it tough to see all the emblems in such a way to copy the placement. Can someone post some pictues or maybe a few diiferent cars to cover all the emblems.

One area of concern (of many) is the front quarter louvers, how do I get these strait? Ant tricks?

And might as well add one more question. Are the interior door panel emblems the same as the front quarter Beaumont emblems.

And,,,, Thanks for the tips of using testors model paint to fix up old emblems, this was easy and looks great.

Ken

Yes, the front fender emblems are the same as the door panel emblems-I'm interested in purchasing a pair of quarter panel Custom emblems if your going to sell.

thanks,

Ken

I would sell them if I had them, but they are missing from my car.

I hear Dale's Muscle Cars in Bracebridge Ontario has very nice Sport Deluxe emblems, and the fender louvers-I bought V-8 emblems-they are quite nice-I see on another post he has just released grille and trunk lid emblems.

Hi Ken I am actually heading out of town for a couple weeks but upon my return I would be more than happy to bring my car out to you and get any measurements that you might be after. I did some replacment lower fender patches on my car and kept the orig one for a template You can use that for the louvers if you like. I will contact you upon returning on the 13th

Hey Marty, I will take you up on that offer, a template would be a life saver.

Ken, I did buy the sport deluxe and the V8 emblems from Dales, and was able to find the others from the tin man on Vancouver Island. I hear that the emblems from Dale look great and it was nice that he had them, but I am suffering a bit of price shock still.

Build a template and cut it to two body lines to line it up. Works great. If you can cut up some rusty fenders as a jig that works great too.
