Yes, GM already sells the G8 as a Lumina in the Middle East, as that article point out, and there have been all sorts of different cars marketed around the world, that we never see here.

For example............how many of you have seen a Chevrolet Caprice SS? Yes, CAPRICE SS.

They have them in Saudia Arabia. Why not here? confuse

The thing i've always liked about Pontiacs is the aggressive look. That Chev version just doesn't have it. I know it's just the front but it's lost the attitude in my opinion. That was it's "personality" and it like Pontiac is gone.

I agree 100% ... I saw a silver G-8 this morning. With the grill and scoops, and the cool front side-markers/gills, it was ready for action!

I agree. I'm still waiting for an ex-OPP Hemi Charger

The Provincial Park where my son works at  in the summer in Law Enforcement has two. The Park Superintendent won't allow them to drive them because they "intimidate park goers". I think he looked around at his securitry staff thinking, these guys are 20 to 22, so the ex-Opp Impalas will do just fine! Probably a good move on the Super's part.

I haven't seen any OPP Chargers, but last year when we were in Ohio i saw some in Toledo. They were mean looking with the big bars on the front. And i've also seen one Magnum cop wagon in Stratford a few years ago. I would like to see a G8 variant stick around but that Chev version really needs a facelift!

I was passed on the highway by a OPP Stealth Charger and I have seen the Hamilton Police' Black Stealth Charger as well. It looks like a base model 6 banger until it pulls out past you and you get a glimpse of those ghostly decals. Neat to see what they will bring at auction when the Police force are done with them.

They also have 8 litre V8 Suburbans and Yukon XL's. I have a feeling it has to do with the supply and cost of oil. I hear they have a lot of it over there. wink
