Went and looked at it and it is pretty rusty but I couldn't resist such a cool Acadian. Every panel has rust and has been patched with bondo. The cool part is every piece of Acadian trim is on the car, although it's in poor condition. The interior is complete but very deteriorated from sitting in the sun for the last 46 years. I doubt this car has seen the inside of a garage ever! Ed says he bought it out of the Stettler Ab area.
I believe the car is easily restorable or could be made into a pretty cool driver with some new panels, a smallblock, and some interior work. I bought the car with the second idea in mind. Guess we'll see when I take a closer look at the ole girl!

It should be a pretty neat little wagon in the near future. I think I have most of the tin found except for lower quarters. No plans to make it real pretty, just a solid driver. Then again, when you travel a road not taken....who knows where it may lead?

Funny how that front clip was in the back of my head when I looked at the wagon. If not for the burn victim, I'd likely have passed this car up.  It really is rusty. The hood is even rusty.  If you look close at the pictures on Ed's site, you can see the rust and bondo on the drivers side of the hood.  He said it to be a solid car.....solid bondo!rofl.gif  It is definately a complete car but I wouldn't try to salvage the frontend, the doors, the tailgate, lower quarters, and possibly the floor.  Not much left after that.  As well, the drivetrain is being replaced with a stout 327 with Edelbrock performer RPM package (heads, cam, intake, carb)  backed by 200 4r automatic and 3500 stall with lockup. It should be quite the grocery getter!
