Jr. was recalled to Duty for the summer at the Provincial Park for the May 2 4 weekend end until after Labour Day. He is excited about it but that means he's taking the Fleetwood to cottage country. I had hoped to get it to a cruise or two this summer.
On top of taking my Fleety, he gets to live at the family cottage & dress like this:

....and work with this:
...and he gets to drive this:
On roads like this:
..and patrolling this:
Keeping park goers like this safe:
Not a bad gig if you can find it..

Where did that one come from Earl? I saw it in your driveway this morning and thought "Jill's gonna kill him..."
She's given up! It came from a local Cadillac store thru my friend the wholesaler. It looks like my daughter is going to drive the Jetta sooner or later and I have nibbles on the GTA,so what the hey. It's old(97) but I couldn't get over the condition it's in. Do you want to go get Lemon-Lime tonite at Tiny's? I'll pick you up.
We were at the Park today for uniform issue, so I snapped a few shots of the vehicles in the patrol fleet. The Intrepid has the OPP markings still visible on the paint, was originally detached to Barrie, the others must have been unmarked units.

Jr. had to make a Park Business run to Orillia the other day so the Super gave him the keys to one of the Chargers, warned him up and down about getting speeding tickets. Ryan said it handled real nice and as far as power goes he said it felt no stronger than our Deville. He liked the drive.
As far as cars he drives he says the best one in his mind they have bar none is that white 2008 Impala. He says it is fast especially out of the hole. It also handles very well.

I like it. By 2000 the head gasket issues were solved so no worries, slightly less compression but still good for 275 to 300 HP depending on model. I may end up with one of those style bodies as my daily driver in a couple of years.
Might trade my Denali for it, not sure yet....Last Cadillac I owned was a '68 Coupe de Ville, years ago, but it was fun....Roasting the tires downtown beside the guys in there corvettes...LOL

They were good cars. I worked at a Cadillac dealer- They were more trouble free than the Sevilles. I had a customer with over 300k on his. Same platform as my Park Ave. The DTS is my favorite.
