I've taken advantage of some of the good weather and painted the wheels and centre caps and got the centre caps on the car. I also installed a better dash pad that i had, no crack in the centre like the old one, and a new panel under the dash where the rear defog/wiper/washer buttons are. The old one somehow had the plastic melted and someone stuck a clock on it. Also put a different map pocket in.

Got the car out of the garage for a few minutes yesterday. It's amazing how it starts up and runs strong now. Not a long term solution but unhooking and hooking back up the battery took out those error codes and that has helped. Here's a better pic of the wheels. One is from last year without the caps and mismatched colour on the driver side, the other is what it looks like now. It was a pain to put the nuts back on...i wish i had got the brakes checked before i had done all of this
I feel so old! I was working at the Pontiac dealer 27 years ago when we sold those brand new.
I have to confess I was not a fan of them at that time. I sure have changed my mind. Seeing your car brings back so many memories of the 80's styles, music, clothing, hairstyles etc...
