So, what's the best Canadian beer, eh?

Not to start a fight, but earlier in some other thread it was brought out that if you want REAL beer, then it needs to be Canadian beer, and me being a dirty white southerner, I have limited experience with such, except for many Kokanees on a train from Vancouver eastward, so always looking to improve my lot in life, I am thinking, where better to inquire aboot the best Canadian beer than here, if car guys don't know beer then who does, eh?

Oh, I do have some experience with beer, hey I was born and raised in Wisconsin and in general every corner had 1 church and 2 bars. For me 2 cases a week was the norm until the doc said stop or you'll be dead soon.

So no spitting and no knife throwing, but what is the best Canadian beer, eh?

Dave

P.S. this post's Canadian accent courtesy of Bob and Doug in "Strange Brew" one of the all-time best movies ever, right up there with "Animal House"

P.P.S. 'aboot' is not a typo, hey we get lotsa white and blue plates down here in season smile.gif

We know what beer is best. Tastes great and is less filling (and you won't fail a roadside test!):

Beer??? Yuck!!!

That has to be the most disgusting tasting liquid in the world! I have never been able to understand how a person could manage to swallow it, sorry.

It is an acquired taste, and one of the few good things that come from adolescent peer pressure biggrin.gif

I like dark ales or stouts on tap mostly.
English, Irish, or micro-brewed Canadian breweries.

mostly any beer 'cept labatts 50, i prefer sleaman clear, keiths red, lakeport red, keiths pale, , heck i even like old Milwaukee!
but it has to be Summer time and warm weather. Beer season is upon us!
Actually i'd like it if we used beer instead of communion wine. but those glasses are so terribly small!

Well Dave, when in Fort Myers Florida I found the Michelob(blue & silver cans) to be the closest to Canadian brand tastes. But I only drink light beer in my old age, so I don't know if that counts as much.
