Ok.. I got home and saw the product.. first off .. IT LOOKS AMAZING!!! There are some slight differences between the originals and the new.. but minor for sure. I see one thing that may be an issue for installation, and that's the "banana" in the one long pc for the door. it's obviously stretched from the roller die and created a curve.. I think the "butterfly" brackets will handle it.. but it could prove to be an issue.
the sheer weight of the product is impressive as well.. with an original in one hand and the new in the other.. it must be close to double.. or 1/3 more anyways.
here's some photo's.. and I'll post a few of them on the car too.
just like the originals. here's a shot of the back of the front pc. The only issue, so far, is this part shown in the photo has a cap built on the front edge of it, and the original doesnt. So the contour of the wheel well interferes with the cap they've put on.. here's another photo with the comparison to show what the hell I'm talking about. you can see how the original tapers out which, of course, allows the chrome to sit on the fender and not stand it off. There was bound to be some "bugs" and I'm sure we'll get it figured out.

Do you think that a dye grinder will fix that? I would be worried about discoloring it. You would think that they would match them a litttle better than that. They sure shine nice. What is your plan to fix them?
my plan is in motion already.. I sent back those parts to Don at DT stainless with original again, and he said he'd take care of it.. He was excellent to talk with and seems to want to make sure I'm happy with the product, and willing to do what it takes to make that happen. so that's cool.
Man they do shine.. it's mirror like.. In the sun I'm sure the car will have a "must have sunglasses" warning on it. LOL
