My engine has super coil and Accel dual point dist With the auto, it never run over 5000 rpm (13.40@101 in second)... With 4 speed, I don't want to run over 7200.. Can I hook up a MSD6AL to use as a limiter ?
7200 with a point distributor? I used to get point float before that. Good idea for the rev limiter, my 64 is manually shifted, have gone from 2nd to neutral too many times, had a 6al on my other car, never got around to putting one on the 64.
I must drive like a whoose, the only car that I drive that hits the limiter on the on ramps is my Northstar powered Deville, it shuts off at 115 mph. I hate coasting onto the 401

Or you can get the MSD Digital 6, newer technology, same result. You don't change your rpm limit with plug-in modules though. It's got dials on the side. It's also got a built in rev limit for staging. Two- step- launch rpm, then max engine rpm, especially good for launching a 4 speed car.

The 7200 was a joke I won't shift it over 6800 the car will not be raced! It will only be used for "free rides" on Pontiac BQ DAYS in Ingersol I will look at the new tech. that you suggest I am mainly interested in rev limiter for "late night testing" outside of Clinton
