Did you want to add some girls in booty shorts to the registry too
Really great shots at both locations. I really like Clint's green and gold 2+2, those painted roofs are very neat.
That Diablo show was very good as well. I see now what most shows around here are lacking, it's that attention to a nice chassis and a good assortment too combined with a few outstanding headlights. Always a cure for car show boredom.
It's a SBC 400, originally a 2 bbl but I upgraded to a 70 300hp 350 7040202 quadrajet and 70 350 casting number intake last year. It got a little tricky as there was a mid-year change from throttle linkage to cable, and I didn't realize the cable for a 2 bbl was a different length than a 4 bbl, but it makes sense as the throttle shaft for a 4bbl is further ahead than a 2 bbl. It worked, but it wasn't right (I had to buy the bracket too, but it was the same as a Chevelle so available). I've since scored a NOS 4 bbl cable on ebay, and it's sitting on my kitchen table awaiting installation (strange, it's been there a couple weeks and the wife hasn't said anything yet). I'll see if I can install tomorrow night (before it ends up in the round file) and then take some pictures.
That's some nice upgrades, if I'm not mistaken the 400 2bbl was rated at 265 HP in 1970. I assume you have dual exhaust on it as well, so you should be well over 300 now.

You're right about the 265 hp, still only sporting a single exhaust however. The mid year change to throttle cable also moved the rurbo 400 kickdown switch to above the gas pedal, and with the carb change it took some monkeying to get it to work right. The proper throttle cable should rectify that.

Well at least you know what your next upgrade should be. Too bad about the monkeying around with the 4bbl carb, maybe you should just sell the car to me so you don't have to worry about that stuff anymore
Great stuff Clint, the cars are nice to see but I really enjoy people watching so seeing all the people having a great time is fantastic. I also like seeing photos of the cars in motion with drivers behind the wheels, a lot more interesting than the static shots that are so common .
